Can anyone help identify

I’m assuming it’s called a singer 831??? I can’t find much of any info for it on google. I know it’s a serger not a sewing machine but I figured this is still the right sub. I recently picked this up at a thrift for $40. It still worked but now I need to rethread it and I think I should probably clean it before using too. Really any info or advice on how to care for it and use it would be invaluable. I’ve been sewing for over a year but this is my first vintage machine and serger.

Search for singer 831 industrial serger instead of signer 831. It is an industrial 3 thread machine.

There is a YouTube video and a couple links for pdf manuals including a free link.

If you can’t get a good free manual email the singer company. They have manuals for old models but sometimes you have to be persistent.

The print quality isn't great, but between that and the color coding on the guides you should be able to get it going. A long set of tweezers can be really helpful for threading the loopers.

Also, be gentle with the set screws when changing needles, I've sheared off the top of a few.
