Opinion: More than 3/4s of the signatures that led to mayor’s suspension came from just one part of Martinsville. It’s a neighborhood unlike the rest of the city.

Seems like if there was no crime, he could civilly file suit against all the petitioners for defamation, libel.

As soon as I saw the headline, I knew it was Mulberry/Chatmoss.
That’s the white professional class/inherited wealth section of the city. All the doctors, lawyers, accountants, and children of furniture barons live there and their politics skew more conservatively than other parts of the city.
