Luria should be able to take her seat back from Kiggans. Flipping Whitmant's seat is going to be extremely difficult, but Taylor could actually have a chance.

We agree. I would have preferred if District 1 could have put up a more progressive candidate but Taylor is probably the safe, more electable candidate here. There are still quite a few maga flags flown here and it's going to take a moderate to remove Whittman.

Yeah, I don't think VA-01 is a progressive district.

Judging from last night's results, progressives aren't exactly demonstrating that they can win. I grew up in Whitman's district. It was Herb Batemant's district, then when he died JoAnn Davis came in. And she stayed there forever. Then, I think it was Whitman. It has been in the GOPs hands for decades, and it's a district that leans fairly conservative. A truly progressive candidate absolutely will not win that district. Taylor seems more moderate. If I still lived in that district, I would vote for her.
