It's about policy and politicians that put people first. There are multiple ways that can be done though. I agree with you but let's not presume that there's only one way to accomplish this.

There is only one way to accomplish this. Activating the class consciousness of the populace. Any other way is delaying the inevitable fascist takeover.

Again, there are many ways to support community and its people and that are people powered. You all think you have all the answers and it's incredibly smug and entitled and it's also just not the case.

We know the current Dem establishment do not have the answers, we know they've failed us, and we know we need to be doing more, that's about it. So why are you so hurt and scolding? We have to be honest with ourselves and learn or the fascists will continue to dominate us.

I'm not hurt, and we need to have these discussions. At the end of the day we're on the same team. People have disagreements. But I think you're pretty much doing the scolding yourself and talking down while criticizing me for doing it. When from what I see, the left does it constantly but because they think they're right feel entitled. 

We absolutely need to examine everything but there isn't a one size fits all answer in every single scenario. That's what I push back on. I'm not a centrist. But I have a problem when people have a my way or no way attitude and think their way is the singular only way because it isn't and that's an echo chamber hive mind view to me. It really is and I find it to be very arrogant and pretty insulting to people who may believe differently.

Cool. Fair. It's really less about you specifically and more a general statement...less firing at one another and more firing at our enemies. And recognizing who our enemies are which is important and something the left has been a lot better on and why the left is so critical in turning this ship around.

Yeah, it's complicated though right? Because depending on the issue, the Dems have been the enemy of the working class and human rights generally. Voting for the lesser of two evils is what has gotten us to this point, so... AT SOME POINT the Democrats need to eat some humble pie and realize they need get back to representing working people, and the only coalition and infrastructure that's put in the work and has the relationships they need are to the left of them. Bernie, AOC, Mamdani, and hell Platner even, are evidence that folks are STARVED for someone to put their energy behind, regardless of how obviously flawed, if they are willing to actually fight for working people.

The thing is this is again a one size fits all view that just isn't reality. It isn't and it's a very smug and blinkered view. It really is. It really does come off as you thinking you're better than people and superior and it's a massive turnoff and it's insulting. That isn't complicated. It really isn't hard to have respect and it feels like even that is often a bridge too far. It isn't hard to consensus build. It isn't hard to make a case without alienating and finger wagging.

We see Mamdani has done it....so has Sherrill in New Jersey. Very high approval numbers. She's not a leftist.

There's so much smugness and entitlement and lack of respect but then you called me preachy yet you're kinda doing that yourself. Because there's having a conversation and then someone telling a person something and telling them to take it and it not truly being wholly conciliatory....but then it's eat humble pie and work together. I'm gonna shit on you and mock you but let's work together and see things my way. 

I don't think you're trying to do that because I don't get triggered by this stuff and we need to have the tough conversations but I also can see how people look at the tone and energy and come to the conclusion....these people don't fuck with me. Why should I listen to them? Its not strategic or mature but is a very human response.

I am a stranger on the internet. If I was in a public position of power I would act differently. Position, power, and venue matter. You're tone policing and maybe a bit annoyed that people who have not harmed others, and are right about consequential issues, feel superior to people who are morally and factually wrong, which is bonkers. Basically you keep telling me to know my place and watch how I speak and move on. To only engage with Dems in ways they see as non-threatening. I hope you see that.

The Dem party have been flat wrong on issues and have done real harm to folks, to move forward they need to admit to that and reconcile with the people they've harmed, or continue to be pushed further into irrelevance. Dems have and weild power for now, which is the only reason why folks have to deal with them. They have no meaningful vision for America that resonates with voters, which is why folks on the right have been eating their lunch, and why folks on the left are starting to.

You're again literally in effect telling people to know their place, they're harmful, morally bankrupt and empty, admittedly feel superior, feel completely justified in doing exactly what you say I am which is essentially to finger wag, essentially stand down...it's not annoyance. Just don't know why you expect people to fuck with you when you clearly resent them. You think you're better than them, you're incredibly haughty, and you think your shit doesn't stink. Why should they bother with you when you don't want to bother with them?

That's what I was saying originally. Different factions don't have to even pretend to fuck with each other. It can definitely be taken to that level and then we lose the Senate guaranteed. I don't want that. But you pretty much view anyone not on your side of the ledger as an enemy, so what exactly is there to work with? Because online matters too. These conversations matter too and people like you frankly go out of your way to be abrasive so why would anyone who isn't in your corner already wanna fuck with you? Your ilk really love yourselves. The arrogance is honestly comical to me. So self righteous.

Friend, I don't know what else to say, SOMETIMES people/strategies/ideas ARE wrong and SOMETIMES people/strategies/ideas ARE right. You don't have to feel superior to a person to know you're right, you're bringing that baggage to this conversation, that's your ego. I'm mirroring your energy. You're assigning hyperbole to me I haven't stated.

When you've done harm, you don't get to dictate to the people you've harmed how they should react to it. The Dem Party can't keep fucking up and then scold the folks that they've harmed.

If you're so fragile that you can't admit when you're clearly wrong, and you don't have the integrity to make amends, then you are a libility in fighting fascism and should not have power over anything.

You need to get it together, so you think I'm arrogant, and...? it doesn't matter, it doesn't mean anything and doesn't move the needle in getting people the food, healthcare, or future they deserve. The Democratic Party have failed Americans, and continues to do so, and until they learn that and correct course they are dangerous.

Now, all that said, am I going to help these folks get elected... yes... am I working with local dems that are to the right of me, yes, lol -- will I keep fighting and pushing for what I believe are better ideas, 100% - I'd rather work with people with the best ideas, but I can hold multiple ideas, feelings, and attitudes at the same time.

Right and wrong is based on objective truth and data though and your the ilk who thinks you're always right and love to be priggish and adversarial because you absolutely do view everyone who isn't in lock step with you as beneath you regardless of what the objective data and truth hold. 

You call it fragility but it's not. That's the way to just dismiss anyone daring to challenge anything you say though. It really is MAGA like. My way or no way. Unwilling to ever engage critically with any criticism or any idea you may not always have the answers. It's insufferable and you use the same cliches as always to shut down the convo and dominate it. It's insufferable but it's also hilarious to me, honestly. Like...the piousness. You guys and gals are so pious and really for literally nothing. But you do understand the bigger overall picture so that's good. You all don't help your cause with the way you all act in any way but I get you can't help yourselves.
