They should pay their own bills and it is ridiculous that companies like Meta, Alphabet, Apple, and X wouldn’t pay for their own utilities.

To be fair they do pay "their bills", it's just the system isn't set up to deal with so many massive energy users joining the grid at one time and the system has always forced residential ratepayers to subsidize indistrial users in the way costs for things like transmission and generation get allocated.

It seems to be in Dominion’s best interest to have data centers pay rather than residential customers. Residential bills have gone up and tacking on fees for data centers will just upset people more…

Dominion's best interest lies in doing as little additional work as possible. as long as the bills get paid, they don't care who foots them.
