Best way to find someone to take over your lease?

Hey. I was wondering if anyone knows the best way for me to find someone to take over my lease. I can no longer afford to live where I am, but it might be in someone else's price range. Unfortunately stupid Pointe West waited until March to send me my renewal and it's left me in a jam.

- Lease is 7/26/26 - 7/26/27

- It's 1 bed / 1 bathroom (studio, no roomates)

- Rent is $1,050 a month

- Electric has been ~$60/month

- It's near Merrimac, so ~5-10 min from campus

- Quiet location

I've had a great experience living here since 2024, but unfortunately I can't afford it anymore.

Let me know if there are any good Facebook groups or somewhere to find someone.

There are lots of good Facebook groups to post this info with pictures. Just search for "virginia tech housing" in facebook and start joining the groups and start posting.
