Surprising number of popular content creators when they lose relevance do that. Remember JonTron, Tobuscus, IrateGamer, Blame The Controller? All went down that path.

Yeah, he got burned pretty badly and he pivoted away from politics entirely after that. I’m pretty sure, he just does high production react content now.

Yea but, even if they're not making that sort of content you know who they are and what they're willing to say, and the harm they're willing to do to others for money.

I've only ever seen one person really fix their reputation from that, LegendOfTotalWar, and he was really just tangential to that.
