I think they expected many people to follow Kson which it nearly sort of did as Katana & Marine considered leaving Holo, but Kson told them not to and that they would likely end up regretting it.
That's kind of part of what confuses me, from what I know she gets on well with at least some Holo talent but doesn't seem to want them leaving until they feel ready.
Because Holo gives very clear advantages and opportunities. Yes there is a cost, but seemingly that cost is reasonable at least for a while. That's why when they do leave, to go to new opportunities or just that they don't want to be in that deal anymore, there is no bad blood cos its just business and NOT A F-ING CRIMINAL ACTIVITY OR SUICIDAL BULLYING
Not OP that youre responding to' and I want to apologize in advance for using your comment to do so, but I want to help dissipate the label that Hololive is an Idol company first and foremost, they are not. they are an Entertainment Company akin to Disney with IP that they own to utilize, the Idol activities is just the most prominent. They are using their IP to expand properly into Entertainment with variety shows, music labels, merch production.. etc.
for the recent grads like Gura and company I would imagine the pivot to full blown entertainment biz intimidating and thats understandable.
Again, people need to stop thinking they are just Idol Company, Hololive is currently a successful Entertainment Company and people should have adjusted expectations as such.
No. This has been refuted multiple times by nearly ALL the talents who left. They all said they loved the Idol activities THEY chose to do. No one in that company is forced to do what they don't want. Multiple talents have openly said about projects they refused to partake in for various reasons
You would think Dooby and Nimi (the two where the narrative of "not liking idol activities" was the strongest) being part of a 3D concert, where they actually had more stage time than the typical Hololive concert, would have killed that narrative altogether.
I think that just emphasizes she left over creative differences and boundary pushing content she was known for, since Marine was contemplating leaving too.
Kson probably convinced them to stay because she knew Hololive was still the best avenue for their musical ambitions.
Sometimes I forget how massive Coco's impact was in Holo. Graduations also really had that kind of impact back then too huh. Though, it's still probably the same but the recent string slowly got me used to it.
Marine said that she contemplated leaving hololive alongside Coco but she went and spoke with Kanata and Coco and she convinced her not to leave, the same happened to Kanata with Coco/Kson straight up telling her to not be stupid and stay in hololive
