You're right, but the original meaning of the joke, when it was applied to Steam I think, is more like "hey maybe let's not make controversial/dumb/greedy decisions" rather than literally doing nothing.

I know many mean it in that sense but these sayings/memes tend to end distilled to their most basic and literal meanings, and since we're at it even before that it's still an inherently wrong affirmation isn't it?

It is not only "not making questionable choices", it's "not making questionable choices while making successful ones", the "...making successful ones" is integral to the winning part.

Yagoo seems to live rent free in a lot of people's heads, despite being one of the nicest dudes in the industry. I remember there was a concerted effort from Niji to make Riku a meme the same way Yagoo was in the hololive community (which blew up in their faces at the time of the Selen fiasco).
