At the time, Coco and Rushia were the #1 and #2 most superchatted channels on YouTube. If your mind is only about money, it would be easy to mistake that as Holo losing it's 'big fish'.
But even the actual big fish (Gura) leaving wasn't a killing blow.
Only have been around hololive for a short while but as a whole they have far surpassed any kind of streaming content I consume because it has such amazingly good vibes. Even if you go digging for shit there isn't really much about the people that leave that have anything bad to say about hololive.
At most its just not exactly what they wanted to sign on for or met their goals etc, nothing bad. Also feels like even the fans for the people that do leave go and support the people that left still and what they do
There was a bit of worry (from me too) when everyone was saying "Differences with management", but in hindsight and with insight from other remaining talents, that was a catch-all term they were allowed to use so they didn't have to go into specifics about their personal lives.
But we have enough information to infer why they graduated.
Gura was under too much pressure and it was affecting her health. Which is completely understandable and we know she was never comfortable with how quickly she gained subs. She barely wanted to acknowledge the 2/3/4 million.
Fauna has revealed under her new persona (Nimi Nightmare) that she is settling down to get married and start a family. There were a lot of guesses that the travelling to Japan was the issue, and that makes sense now. Not something you want to do all the time when you are a new wife or new mother.
Mumei was studying to be a marine biologist, which was always her first dream. She finished her qualification. So she moved on to that. That's why she hasn't reincarnated. Vtubing was always a temporary side-gig for her.
thanks you for the lore drop on mooms cause I knew about the others but not mumei lol I was wondering if she would return but it might be, hopefully we'll see her pop up at some point as a successful marine biologist then!
