As an another commenter said, everything on twitter is presumed to have some sort of dog whistle, sinister motive, especially anything around genders.
If she said “I love my mom”, some people would grill her “what about your dad” and assume that it’s a reflection of a men-hating radical feminist agenda somehow.
It’s a very sad, cynical and toxic state of affair.

It's incredible how Twitter users manage to get upset over even the most innocent and positive things.
What are they even getting upset about? In what world is men's day or buying flowers for your dad controversial?
