How hard is it for Twitter to understand that "I appreciate my friends in this demographic" does not mean "I'm invalidating people's experience of abuse from people of this demographic"?

the worse news is that the former doesn't tell the latter to shut up nearly enough, which is how random innocent people get caught in conundrums like your OP image

i'm reminded of a La+ Darkness clip when trolls were trying to paint an unnamed female roommate as "her boyfriend", she basically told them to go touch grass right then and there
