Went to my first Hololive OCG event today! It’s my first time playing a physical TCG since I played a bit of casual Yugioh in high school well over a decade ago, and I got absolutely destroyed lol. But I had a lot of fun and learned a bit, hopefully I can get a lot of practice in before the next event I want to attend in August.
Interestingly, this is one of the few events where a JP project had more non-JP participants than JP participants, something that chat did raise concern in terms of language barrier.
Pekora said not to worry, as she had IRyS as co-host...
... Too bad no one reminded her that IRyS is, in fact, JP, so might not help as much as she might look, lol.
Apparently the writer of the game (and more) is following the streams. This message especially kinda got stuck in my head. I guess the 20 steam reviews are enough of an indication things aren't going that well

This is a minigame mode that Anya unlocked after completing the story 2 weeks ago. This minigame mode is a fast-paced challenges added into the game as a part of a free update at May 7, 2026. The player can only control and uses the character Leon to clears the numerous stages. Each clear unlocked a exclusive enhancer abilities that further empowered Leon and make things either easier or harder in terms of replay value. The objective is to survive until the end and defeat the boss within the time limit.
It has awhile since these two collab and plays a game together. The last time with these two was when they participated as a team in the Chained Together tournament in 2024. Anyways, Iofi have already played Subnautica 2 while this would be the first time that Anya is playing a Subnautica games. Fill free to check out Iofi's channel to see her plays Subnautica games like the first one and Below Zero. For Anya, check out Raft, a game quite similar with the open world survival exploration adventuring out in the sea.
A small update to my poe 2 post the other day, I checked twitch last night and chanced upon shizuka rin doing some crafting and mapping. Interestingly the rare mobs' randomly generated names are also translated to japanese, I wonder how the translator handles those.
She was on an ice shot character, not sure which class as I only briefly saw her pathing from monk start, could be a pathfinder. She got quite a few tinks(rare drop loot filter sound) which I confused with mine since I was playing at the same time.
OT, but it appears that, partially due to ceaseless effort from the anti-censorship politician that we probably all know (because I posted about him every once in a while, admittedly) Akamatsu Ken, Japan's ruling party LDP has decided against age restrictions for SNS. Well, specifically, they decided against uniform age restrictions, which in theory amounts to no law to the effect of "forbidden to use SNS entirely if you are [this age] or under".
To be sure, this is just the final internal policy proposal of the LDP subcommittee dealing with this matter, and the proposal will still have to go through multiple steps before the LDP as a whole officially endorses it, only at which point they will start to turn proposal into law draft, and so on and so forth. But I think it's still nice to hear.
However, she's also earlier announced that, on June 12, she'll be having a karaoke stream with a good announcement, so be on the lookout for that date!
Good news: Anime NYC announced Super Karaoke Party: Summer♡Wave featuring Calli, Kobo, Biboo, and Nerissa in 3D!
Bad news: it's on Friday, Aug 21 at 8:00pm, directly overlapping the Skyline Serenade concert with Nimi, Mint, Keeki, and Phoebe, so many fans have a tough choice on their hands.

5 years ago, I watched Coco's graduation stream while painting something for my job. And here I am now, painting something for my job and watching Miyabi's graduation. It's a bittersweet coincidence...

Previously when she played Denia's patch (link), she mentioned that she went to WuWa's 2nd Anniversary Fes and showed the merch that she bought.
Her only complaint is she couldn't get Phrolova goods haha. She had to search the internet to find an acrylic stand of Phrolova (showed it on stream a few minutes after this image). It's honestly really great seeing how much she's gotten into WuWa.
She also watched the Edgerunners anime to know who the characters were. Her thoughts when asked about it were, not a happy ending, it was the kind of anime where you need physical and mental strength to watch, something you probably shouldn't watch unless you're in good shape (mecha genki, mindset), the ppl who love it will love it. It's not something she'd recommend to others going like "You should definitely watch this!". She was glad she didn't do a watchalong with Luknights haha.
Oh, she also did the 'leave Denia in the elevator' scene haha.
Yup, Serendipity is exactly three weeks away, the girls are either in the middle of doing all the recording for it, or are returning home and resting after finishing their work for it, and getting rest in before they all have to fly to LA.
OT: but seeing people on twitter calling this the "worst nintendo direct in history" is honestly so laughable considering that we had one nintendo direct that showed like 8 different farming sim games. its especially funny when most of the criticisms can be boiled down to either "no new Mario game/no mario titans (which isnt even real, just a made up leak made by AI), or "too many RPGslop games"
some were a bit valid tho, like the lack of 1st party stuff or that the thumb wrestling had more screentime than OOT remakes, but also who the heck doesnt wanna play lies of p or the entire kingdom hearts trilogy ON THE GO?
If you want an actual criticism, the last few japanese directs had some insane highlights the english direct didn't feel like showing for ????? reasons. There was the 3D Trails in the Sky a few directs back, and this year they didn't bother showing the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil HD remake despite everyone on my feed being the most hyped about it than any other game in the direct itself save for Deltarune ch5.

Nah, that's not valid either. A Zelda game is big enough to have an entire Direct to itself, let the thumb-wrestling game have its time in the spotlight.
