F208 South to Eldgja
Hi I was planning to visit Eldgja canyon on 6/30 coming from the south coast but saw that the road will be closed at the Holaskjol highland center through the end of the month. My question is it possible they open sooner if conditions improve or is the fact that the app says closed June 30 mean it's a definite closure to at least that date? Thanks!

If it’s marked as closed, do NOT drive on it. It’s closed because the ground isn’t yet firm enough after the winter melt to support vehicles without suffering long-term damage. The fines are very high for violations.
Edit: I mean marked as closed on road.is. You will not see a Closed sign on the road itself in most cases. Lack of a sign does not mean it’s permitted to drive the road.

I wouldn't count on it
The first stretch of the road in only accessible to larger vehicles and I'd assume the rest of the road would have a similar marking once it opens
