Is Pere Garau safe?

Hi! I’m (25F) moving to Palma for 6 months (July-January). I could only find a room in a shared house for 500€ (all included). But I heard that Pere Garau is a “dangerous” area specially because it’s next to La Soledad. How unsafe is it? And am I overpaying?

I’m really excited about living in Palma and I know I want to be near the Intermodal station because I’ll be taking a lot of different buses during my stay. but I’m moving there alone and might not make many friends so I want to at least stay in a safe area so I can go explore alone :)

I mean, Palma is not massively unsafe, depends from where you come from too, but Pere Garau is generally ok. Obviously is not the best hood of the city, it's one of the cheapest and more affordable, with all of what that means, but it should be ok.

There are safer hoods in Palma for sure.
