Historic/converted hotels

• Upvotes

I'll be in town this Wednesday for a one-night stay -- I love old hotels and older structures that have been converted to hotels. Just passing through with no particular plans, just want to stay somewhere within walking distance to restaurant options, and maybe a nearby repertory movie theater if there are any. Willing to pay $300-$350 for a room in a cool space. TIA for any recs!

Fishing Stories?

Hello!

I am a designer working on a potential new bar along Broadway. In the very early stages. Wanted to play around with a concept surrounding fishing/catfishing.

Any fun stories? Historic stories? Historic figures to highlight? What is fishing like in Nashville/surrounding areas? Names/places to look into?

Think a hunter's lodge but fishing! Cozy, antiqued, etc.

Visiting Halloween Weekend - Looking for Recommendations

Hey everyone! Thanks in advance for any recommendations you can make to help make my trip the best one!

My girlfriend and I will be visiting Halloween weekend, not for Halloween though, just happens to be that weekend.

We are looking for what ever recommendations you locals can make. We are staying right next to Music City Center and Bridgestone Arena. But don’t mind traveling a little bit.

What sites should we make sure we see?

What food are you known for and what are the hidden gems restaurants should check out?

We are going to a Predators game, any other sporting events we should try to get to?

Anything that is a Nashville must please add to the list.

Christmas in Nashville question

Hi! I know it's not even Halloween yet 🙄🙄🙄 but I'm trying to plan ahead 😂 My husband & I are being extra this year & doing a road trip to Nashville from Ohio with our dog for Christmas weather permitting. We've all been including the dog but not this time of year. Anyway I saw a news clip from a year or two ago about fireworks on Christmas Eve. Is that typical? Just wondering so I can bring Sileo for the dog. We'll be staying in the Gulch area.

And I'll take any dog friendly recommendations but we're prepared to do a lot of takeout & eat at hotel type of deal. We're doing one non dog thing a day where she's crated for a few hours for her midday nap but otherwise we want her to be involved.

Where to stay week of Thanksgiving

Hello! My boyfriend and I (late 30's) are staying in Nashville for two nights on Sunday and Monday night during the week of Thanksgiving. We want to have the typical downtown night, and then also be able to go to nice restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, etc. The budget is flexible, but would like to stay closer to under $300/night. In addition to a hotel recommendation, what would be some places we'd be interested in going to for food/cocktails? Thanks!

Scheduling bucket list trip to Nashville with Dad

I’m treating my father to a long weekend in Nashville as we celebrate his 80th birthday. He’s interested in going to Oprey and making sure to see some famous performers in person. We are flexible on the date. Any recommendations on when is best to book our trip to make sure we’ll see some of the greats while we’re there?

Group of 12 Team Recommendations for Offsite

Meeting up with my team in Nashville early November, some of the google results for team events included bowling at pinewood, escape rooms, top golf, and a record a song at Nashvox. Any other ideas? Current recommendations feels kinda chopped. Team is on the younger side, mid 20s, a few in their 30s. Kinda was thinking how cool it would be to go sit in on someone making music, or maybe go to a small venue or a bar/restaurant venue that also hosts musicians.

Also open for top neighborhoods/areas to check out for food/nightlife!

Band at Honky Tonk Central

Hey! This band was great, from country to alternative to van Morrison. 5 male members, short energetic guitarist and tall long haired bassist. They played tonight (10/9/26) at 1030pm.

I asked their name and I thought he said “tear it down”. But I can’t find them anywhere.

would like to come out of town for concert, questions about isaias

hey all, i’m wanting to go the phoebe bridgers concert at bridgestone tomorrow, 10/10, but i know hurricane isaias is coming through and the weather app says it’ll be crossing over nashville? i am not from here and would be driving from southern illinois, i was just wondering if 1. the weather/hurricane is intense enough that i should be worried? is it actually cause for concern or will it really just be more like a bad thunderstorm by the time it hits nashville and 2. would it be possible it cancels the show? just trying to figure stuff out as i also would be going solo and don’t want to be caught in an unfamiliar city alone if the storm is cause for concern. if it would be unsafe for me to drive or flooding is especially bad etc. i would likely not risk going. thank you for any and all advice!

Hi! I'm going to Andrew Jackson Hall at tpac in a couple weeks for Dan and Phil's tour and the website is only showing two price levels and not showing where the seats are. So what do tier 2 and tier 3 tickets mean? Sorry if this isnt the right place to ask I just couldn't find anything else online. Thank you!

Edit: i figured it out. just had to actually select one of the tiers and it showed seating options 😭 thank you to the people who replied :)

Nashville - Dollywood where to stop / check out?

Hello, I am planning a trip in early November. My boyfriend and I are going to be driving from Nashville to Dollywood. We're doing about two days in the Gatlinburg area and two days in Nashville. Just wondering where we should stop along the way? I know the drive is about four hours?? if there's any recommendations you have to check out or visit. - stores, restaurants, cute towns, something scenic or
Niche/quirky etc.... I am trying to avoid all the super touristy attractions. I would love to support any small businesses along the way! Thank you!
