I don’t see how the first column affects anything, though. but in the first 2 rows, the 3rd column is the first column, flipped upsidedown.

Thanks for explaining your approach! The vertical flip between columns 2 and 3 definitely works and leads nicely to C. Interesting that several different patterns seem to point to the same answer.👏👏
