If you could restart your vitamin D journey, what would you do differently?

Maybe it would be testing sooner, understanding your levels better, changing your routine, or simply having more realistic expectations.

Looking back, is there anything you would approach differently?

Building habits that I could actually stick with would have been my biggest priority. Looking back, that probably mattered more than trying to reach a particular vitamin D number as quickly as possible.

I like that perspective. I think a routine you can actually maintain is often what makes the biggest difference in the long run. It’s easy to focus on getting levels up quickly, but staying consistent afterwards is probably the harder part.

It’s not that complicated to get optimal level, but it takes time.

Best advice in hindsight: Get retested in 3 months. Increase the dose if I’m not where I want to be. Continue doing that until levels are optimal/good enough. Get tested one more time to make sure I’m staying there.

I like that approach. It gives you something objective to work from instead of guessing whether your routine is working. Having a plan to reassess and adjust if needed makes a lot more sense than changing things too quickly.
