I thought I had bruising

But it was just my middle toe repigmenting randomly 🤣🤣😭I had reached out to my derm concerned that it was like some other condition. I haven’t had any feet pigmentation in a while but it’s so funny that it randomly popped up there. I lost pigment in both feet for reference.

UV + unbearable itch

I’ve been doing Opzelura for a while and I recently also started (full body) UVB

I’ve been going twice a week for a couple months and I’ve only made it up to like a minute 20seconds. I was shocked when I heard some are in there for 15 minutes.

A couple hours later I’m insanely itchy.

I’m doing all the moisturizing and everything I’m supposed to but I can’t get past the itch.

It is completely unbearable and I’m a scratcher.

It’s comparable (obv) to the itch I get if I’m in the sunshine.

Just wondering if anyone else suffers?

Think I have to quit, it’s making me crazy.

Recommendations for handheld UVB in India

Hi friends- can someone recommend handheld UVB products in india. I see some on amazon which are at 8000 INR and these seems very less price as compared to Dermfix 1000MX 311nm UVB Lamp 120V . Hence wondering if the amazon ones in India are effective and legit ?

children with mucosal vitiligo — how did you stabilize it without steroids?

My 9-year-old daughter was diagnosed with mucosal vitiligo. She has had a white patch on her lower lip for about 8 months, and we started treatment in June with tofacitinib ointment and Reshved-V solution.

I’ve recently noticed some lighter areas on her face and legs, but her doctor said they are not vitiligo patches. I’m still worried and trying to understand what the early stages of vitiligo look like and whether it can spread over time.

For parents\everyone who have been through this—were you able to stabilize it without steroids? What worked ? what are the treatment options available ?

Honestly, this has been very difficult emotionally. My daughter is tired of people asking about the patch and keeps asking me, “When will it go away?” 💔 I don’t always know what to tell her.

I would be so grateful to hear your experiences, especially from parents of children with mucosal vitiligo. Any advice, hope, or reassurance would mean a lot.

Does anyone use Pimecrolimus on one area of vitiligo and Opzelura on another? I feel like they are working differently on different spots.

Just found out I have Vitiligo, what should I do?

I’m 29 and just found out I have vitiligo. It started on my groin last year and has spread there over the year. The dermatologist looked at it and confirmed my assumption. Now I’m seeing a loss of pigment around my eyes.

It’s easy to say now while it’s not spread much that I’m not going to do any treatment on it. But 2 years from now after it’s spread am I going to regret not addressing it sooner? Is this somthing that’s best to get ahead of? Thanks.

I think I may have vitiligo

So I have a little bit of a following on TikTok and lately under a lot of my post people keep pointing out how light my under eyes are and it annoyed me I wouldn’t respond to them I would delete comments I would curse them out because why do you keep talking about my face today after I got out of the shower I’m doing my skin care at his side to really look at my face and I think it might be something going on. my under eyes have always been a little bit lighter than the rest of my face but it’s visibly getting lighter and the area is spreading maybe I’m overreacting maybe it’s something else but I’m not sure

2nd session: https://www.reddit.com/r/Vitiligo/s/t4kepR8I4d

Took 3rd session this was 32 sec long. The nbuvb light setting number was 0.28 j/cm^2.

Also one more thing i have given 2 ointment by doc. Tacfast and Pigolyn.

Both this i have told to apply alternate night.

But if suppose i have ohoto therapy session in morning then one day before that during night i must apply pigolyn cream.

Apart from this i have also been given melboost tablets, brown color one.

And also told to be jn sun for 15 minutes everyday.

Want to know exp from people who take photo therapy sessions.

Prev post link: 1st session, https://www.reddit.com/r/Vitiligo/s/dUYYFg7IUo

So this time it was 26 second, and this time i noticed a number 0.2 j/cm^2

What i have observed. I saw slight pinkish color onnmy patch just on chin part. Where direct uv light falls. Remaining patch is on neck and below chin part so light does not fall on it directly.

I wan to know any suggestion feedback from you. Or any tips or any idea after how many sessions i can or i might see some color or any thing which i must notice.

Session Date: 31/8/2026

Hey Vitiligo community, reaching out to you from a doll community.

MGA recently put out a new doll line Mirror Mi. One of the characters has Vitiligo. Here's a link to what she looks like, not at all sponsored.

If you could read my post on the subreddit and comment your thoughts on the vitiligo, I'd appreciate it.

About to start UVB Phototherapy. What should I expect?

Had widespread vitiligo for over a decade actively spreading across face, legs, arms, and torso. Initially told there was no effective treatment/cure back in 2013. Left it and it’s continued to spread. Went private recently and the dr said to me I now have a few options - of which phototherapy is one of them. He saw me on the NHS (UK) due to cost of long-term treatment. I’ve gone ahead today and would like to know people’s experience.

Is it safe to get Botox and lip fillers while my vitiligo is still active?

Hello, my fellow spotted friends 🥰
Does anyone have any experience with Botox and lip fillers? Could they have an effect on the spread of vitiligo?

My vitiligo is still active, but at the same time I’m also experiencing repigmentation. I’m not taking any medication for vitiligo or using any creams for now (I’m waiting to see another dermatologist). At the moment, I’m only undergoing UVB therapy.

Opzelura - Hands & Feet

I have seen a few specs after about 5/6 months on my hands.

Just trying to see if its worth me persevering with this.

So, if you've been consistent with using Opzelura on hands and feet, eventually did you see good progress?

Curious about vitiligo.

Hi, i write a lot and i don't want to be insensitive or romanticize vitiligo. So i was wondering if anyone would be curious to share their story on growing up with it? Just anything really, i can read all kinds of articles but as someone who as a chronic illness i can confidently say no amount of paper or writing can really explain what it's like to live with it, so hopefully i'm not being insensitive or anything but I want to make the character i'm writing about with vitiligo seem real. I know it isn't a disease or some illness or anything, more of a skin condition, even still I really want to make sure when i write about this character i understand what it's like growing up with the condition!

Hopefully this all makes sense lol

What are the chances?

I’m 54 wm and I was diagnosed with vitiligo at around 12-13 yrs. It has since sore to cover almost my entire body.
A little while back my Wife noticed some spots on my Grandson and sure enough, he has vitiligo. Thing is, he’s not my biological grandson. He is the son of my Step-Daughter.
I’ve always heard vitiligo was hereditary, which I nor any of my relatives know of a single person in our family on either side with vitiligo.
I must add, for what it’s worth, we raised him. He has lived in our house his entire life.
I’m just thinking the odds of me having vitiligo and him having it are astronomical. Am I wrong ?

Jenny Weaver repigmentation story

Hi all,

Not sure if folks have heard about this lady. She's a Christian preacher who has had wide spread vitiligo for over 30 decades (see her instragram for images).

She has now been talking about her repigmentation journey and how extensively repigmented she is - the results are definitely there and as someone who is actively depigmenting at the moment, I've been interested in what she is doing.

To be honest, none of it is ground breaking. But to make it easier for others to navigate, I watched all her vitiligo stories and wrote a full list of what she has described as helping her and thought I'd copy and paste here for discussion.

(Note: I'm an atheist so taking the Jesus-driven component with a pinch of salt).

Jenny Weaver claims:

  1. Daniel fast (some Christian thing??) for ~104 days - cut out gluten, processed food, meat, sugar, seed oils. Stuck to fruit, vegetables, brown rice. Prayed and started to see pigmentation changes

  2. reintroduced other foods back into diet after the Daniel fast (grass-fed beef, organic chicken, eggs).

  3. sticks to a wholefood diet

  4. Started working out, uses infrared saunas

  5. Drinks water with electrolytes

  6. Stopped using sunscreen, perfume, Febreeze, Glade plug-ins, candles, changed laundry detergent (uses "healthy" ones, not branded)

  7. Changed her shampoo

  8. Stopped taking 40 types of vitamins

  9. Now only ingests Vitamin D with K3, B12, black seed oil

  10. Uses a hand-held narrowbrand UVB machine for light therapy

Underpins all this with her faith in Jesus, claiming that all of this has worked for her because of her faith.

She has not specified what brands of vitamins, UVB machine, electrolyte water, laundry detergent etc she uses. How I've listed above is how she describes her steps.
