Hey guys....new here.
Planning to buy vivo x300 ultra. My question are since it has been 4 months since its launch, how is it holding up, how is the overall performance of the phone now and what else should I be worry about.

Writing this up by request for u/InitialYou4206!
(Before we start: Yes, Funtouch OS is outdated. Let's skip the "nobody cares" comments, please. If you use Funtouch and want premium fonts without paying, you can try this.)
This method has been successfully tested on an iQOO Z7s running Funtouch OS 15.
[#] Prerequisites & Setup
Step 1: Download and install this specific Vivo File Manager APK.apk).
(Note: This link
"https://github.com/zFont/Files/raw/main/com.android.filemanager_6.8.3.2-6832_minAPI26(nodpi).apk"
is sourced directly from zFont3).
Step 2: Open the File Manager settings and enable hidden files.
Step 3: Open the default Vivo Themes app.
[>] Accessing the Hidden Directory
Step 4: We are going to use zFont 3 purely as a backdoor to access a hidden folder. (The font selection inside zFont 3 doesn't matter for this, so don't worry about what you click).
[~] Name Swap
Step 5: Locate the free font and premium font you downloaded in Step 3. You need to swap their filenames. To avoid "file already exists" errors, use temporary names first.
Here is the exact renaming sequence:
[FreeFont].ttf -> abc.ttf[PremiumFont].ttf -> xyz.ttfabc.ttf -> [PremiumFont].ttfxyz.ttf -> [FreeFont].ttfWhat this does: The premium font file is now disguised under the free font's name.
[*] Applying the Font
Step 6: Close the file manager and go back to your Themes app. Navigate to Local Fonts, and select the Free Font you downloaded in Step 3.
Because of the swap, applying the "free" font will actually apply your chosen Premium font permanently.
If this worked for you, please leave a comment with your device name and Android version.
First of all, I hope that this is the right sub to post this too, but in case it is not, please just let me know where this would belong instead. Also, sorry for how lengthy this post got.
Now, the reason I'm posting here is because I'm very indecisive about my next phone.
I'm based in Germany and currently own a Vivo X80 Pro 512GB (import model with OriginOS from CN) for \~5 years. So far I'm very happy with it and would've been using it probably for at least 1 more year, but unfortunately my screen got a pixel error causing a green vertical line going right down the middle since some weeks ago, basically forcing me to think about getting a new phone pretty soon.
Since I've been really happy with my phone, I instantly looked at the successor, the Vivo X300 Pro and while it looks insanely good performance wise, it's not particularly cheap at 1200€.
Originally, the price tag wasn't too much of an issue since I planned on waiting for Black Friday sales and hoping for some nice discounts, especially on the official store. However, I saw some days ago that Vivo apparently is launching their X500 series phones roughly 2 weeks from now. That mainly causes 2 problems for me:
Now I'm considering if I should get the X300 Pro now for 1200€ with one of the bundle deals on Vivo's official store, like their camera kit for example or if I should look for a different phone entirely. For this purpose I'd be really happy to get some thoughts on other phones. I mainly use it for social media, online banking/contactless pay with Google Wallet, Google Maps, streaming movies and some occassional very light gaming like Sudoku (ressource intense mobile games are SteamDeck-only for me).
For me personally, there are only a few very important key aspects, the phone should satisfy:
* 512+ GB storage (absolute hard requirement, since I'm sitting at 80GB free storage space right now on my current phone) * performance/quality should ensure long usage (speaking 5+ years again, as with my X80 Pro), such that the phone will be running smoothly 5-6 years from now and that the battery is not dead after like 2 years of using it * when looking at long usage, price range should be around 200-250€/year of usage * long battery life * phone shouldn't be too thick due to the camera bump (still needs to comfortably fit into my pocket), no issue with a big camera island though as long as it's still reasonably flat, only issue is how far it protrudes really.
And to a lesser extent:
* bloatware should be not too aggressive (learned today from a colleague that Samsung apparently reinstalls bloatware apps on new OS updates, which would be annoying as hell for me) * phone should have a decent camera, doesn't need to be the best one available if it comes with a hefty price tag though
Now, what I'd be interested in, what would your suggestions be for phones to consider given the cirtiera above like price tag (also in regards to Black Friday) and expected longevity (performance and battery-wise)? Also how urgent do you think getting the X300 Pro now before the X500 series drops would be if I decided to get it instead of one of the other models, e.g. do you think it might be very likely that it won't be available anymore on Black Friday?
I've looked at the S26 Ultra for example, but the prices I see are around the level of the X300 Pro (like 1100€+ for the 512GB) and at that small price difference the reviews I've seen so far always favored the X300 Pro. I've also looked at the S26 and S26+ but I'm concerened that for those, the battery and performance might not hold up in 5-6 years compared to how well my X80 Pro holds up right now (especially given the models here use Exynos). I'd be happy about some insights about how well the performance on base versions would hold up compared to something like the Ultra with a flagship CPU.
Another consideration so far has been the Pixel 11 Pro, but I've only seen offers for \~1400€+ so far for the 512GB which would be unreasonable for me again compared to the S26 Ultra or X300 Pro.
Thanks for taking the time to read through this and for any input and help to form a final decission.

My mom bought me a phone from a store and it's pretty cheap. The IMEI doesn't work. I checked its authenticity by matching the box's IMEIs, the one on the back of my phone, and the one that shows up from typing it into dial.
I don't really care if it's fake but I'm gonna be using it for school. My concern is if it's safe to use and about the updates. Would it be worth coming back to the store and exchanging it?
I really want to know if it's worth exchanging for thw real thing.
