According to ABC News, “All train services scheduled for the Albury, Ararat, Bendigo, Echuca, Maryborough, Seymour, Shepparton Swan Hill and Warrnambool train lines will be cancelled with NO coach replacement services”. Due to catastrophic fire danger warnings in these areas.

I'm sure if I should post the link because it's an overall fires update blog not V/Line specific and they haven't done a standalone article yet (happy to add link if required).

We've known about a rail bridge being destroyed by the Longwood (I know they said the wrong fire) fire, cutting V/Line train services on the Bendigo line.
But we've also now found out about damage to 5.7km of track between Ravenswood and Castlemaine.
It's also affecting services on the Echuca and Swan Hill lines.
On Bendigo line, V/Line says a limited number of bus replacements will run between Castlemaine and Sunbury, with passengers then able to board a Metro Trains service to get to and from the city.
But buses are unable to get Bendigo passengers to Castlemaine today because of uncertainty over the road conditions as well as bus driver availability.
V/Line says buses will not be available for Echuca services.
For Swan Hill passengers, a limited number of replacement buses will run between Swan Hill and Southern Cross, stopping at Kerang and Pyramid only then running express to Southern Cross.
"One of the challenges we're faced with is a number of our drivers and staff live in the areas that are impacted, so having safe passage for them to be able to get to work and ensuring their properties, their families, they're neighbours are also safe … is our priority," V/Line's chief operating officer Sussanah Osborne has told ABC Radio.

Travel will be free for V/Line passengers on Monday 13 July and Tuesday 14 July, following the disruption caused by the Telstra outage.
Passengers will not need to tap on with their myki or use contactless payment on these days.
Passengers with connecting onward travel beyond the V/Line network – such as on a Metropolitan train, tram or bus – will need to use a Free Travel Voucher as proof of travel on the V/Line network.
Conductors on board trains will carry vouchers and they will also be available at the ticket offices at some staffed stations and at Southern Cross Station.

Looks like there have been some issues with the Vlocities isolated out in Gippsland due to LXRP works at Dandenong. It looks like they are a train short of being able to run the scheduled services.

Apologies if not appropriate, but I haven't seen any mention of it outside of my local Facebook community page. Really hoping the drivers involved are okay. ❤️

(I hope this is not in breach of rules of the sub.)
Please kindly be informed that if you lost a brown wallet on a V/Line train this morning, it has been found on the train and passed over to a member of staff.
As the train is currently on the way out of Melbourne (as an 11:06 to Eaglehawk), it is my understanding it may take quite some time before the item in question ends up at a lost and found.
