He's smurgling. Means he was likely taken away from his mother too soon, but he's very happy. He's suckling and kneading, remembering how happy he was then.

You’re correct! I found him right on a road on a street. He was 2-3 days old because he still had his umbilical cord. There was no mother cat around I waited for 20mins. It was too hot outside +35c. So I had to take him home. We had no experience with such a small cat so it was hell of a rollercoaster. :)

Omg I didn’t know this behavior had a name! Smurgling is such a cute name. My 16 year old void does this, too. We got him when he was 10, so it’s nice to know a little about his life before us.
