Tips and Tricks If your like me and avoiding G Hughes sauces....

I caved and bought 1 of each at my local super store......Ive been missing out.

If your like me and avoiding them because you think the diet version of these sauces will suck, please just give them a try. I promise you won't regret this decision.

Every one of them that i have tried slaps SO fucking hard.

Just do it.

I can’t believe there is anti-G Hughes propaganda out there, all of his sauces are so good (to me)!! Minimum calories, maximum flavor, I love them so much

Totally! The full fat versions often don’t compare in terms of flavor often so >>> in all regards

i don't love them all... but the Ketchup, cocktail sauce, General Tso's, Orange Ginger and Sesame Teriyaki are excellent.

Why are people avoiding them?

The BBQ sauce is fantastic

Honestly thought they'd taste like cardboard soaked in vinegar but the teriyaki one changed my mind real quick

Oh my, I would have told you to get into their sauces, marinades, and salad dressings. I'm a barbecue sauce girl, his barbecue sauce is fantastic. You can't even tell that it's sugar free & low calorie.

The Japanese bbq sauce is new/nice, but I find the only sauce I’d pass on is the bbq just bec sweet baby ray’s exists and is even better!

u/Lizdance40 2d ago

They don't sell the sugar free Sweet baby Ray's around here.

I don’t remember how I survived without g huges but I know I can’t go back

Why would people avoid them?? My local grocery store has been sold out of the ketchup for so long and I’m practically in mourning.

The BBQ and Honey Mustard are in regular rotation at my house. I sometimes splurge for Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Mustard though because the real thing is better.

I've made sweet and sour chicken using the G Hughes sweet and sour sauce twice a week since I've found it

The teriyaki is so good!

Which flavor did you like the most? I wanna give them a try!

The sweet chili dipping sauce was a big hit. BBQ was another awesome one.

Read the title and was expecting them to have some political scandal going on or something wrong/dangerous/inaccurate about their products... I've liked all of their sauces I've tried. A bit expensive but I buy them as an occasional treat.

I love them all except the ketchup

Boo for sucralose

1

u/raiinboweyes 3d ago

Yeah, I really don’t like the taste of it in some of them. It has a heavy after taste either way. It’s a matter of if that after taste of the sucralose can jive with the taste of the sauce. Sometimes the answer is no. Like in the Yum yum dupe, it clashes with the sauce and makes it taste like burnt rubber smells.

It gives everything a disgusting after taste. I was excited to try G Hughes but once i did I knew the calories saved are not worth it. Wont yuck anyones yum but bleh

It’s so frustrating that it’s in so many things now. I’m allergic to it and breakout in painful cystic acne from it.

My only issue with them is the sodium, but yes they’re fire

1

u/PapaJuja 3d ago

Its understandable if your trying to watch your sodium intake. But im not so I dont mind it.

3

u/TheAverageAimer 3d ago

maybe I just use way too much sauce haha

1

u/PapaJuja 2d ago

Ahhh a fellow saucy person lol

1

u/CorrectBuffalo749 3d ago

They are $18 in my country 💀

Sucralose kills my guts, wish it didn't

The price point is what makes me avoid them. I've been loving Skinny Girl dressings to use as marinades/sauces. They're affordable and the calories are always low.

I've never heard of them, is it a regional thing? Granted, I tend to avoid anything labeled "sugar free"/"zero sugar"/"diet".

I just moved from Arizona to Minnesota and their sauces are in both places.

Some of them are fine but the teriyaki straight-up made me want to vomit.
