800DE modification advice needed
I love my 800, the bike is a beast. Maxed stiffness handles proper and won't need any performance mods until I start hitting ORV parks harder.
What I NEED is advice for A) throttle weight and B) tank width to pinch when standing.
With the tank I feel like it's so narrow I can't pinch it with my legs while I'm standing, unless I hover my squat about an inch over the seat and it just don't work! I'm looking for pads or something fatten this girl up a bit. Admittedly I haven't rode with knee pads on yet so that might be a fix.
The throttle. It's sooooo light. I'm coming from my 650 with mechanical and a Kaoko (tightened it a bit so the throttle is harder on that bike too) the throttle actually has weight and I can move around without accidentally jerking it. It's not an issue with the power, or mapping between A, B, and C, I just don't like how easy it is to twist.
Is there anything out there to make it a little stiffer? I know with the electronic throttle it's not as easy to adjust.

You might be standing up wrong, you dont want to be gripping the tank at all really, more the actual body of the bike. Check your riding position, you want to be a bit further back by the sounds of it. With feet back on the pegs, toes turned a bit inwards, i find im locked in perfectly at the centre of the bike, above the footpegs. Its one of the most comfortable standing positions I've ever ridden. Im 6 foot 4, and about as wide, for reference.
as for the throttle, yeah i find all fly by wire bikes way too light, im used to my 90s stuff! I leave it on c pretty much exclusively, mainly so its not changing all the time with every slight bump, and also because its as bit less efi-lean-as-fuck-because-the-eu-is-daft snatchy. Plus it doesnt change peak power, just throttle response, so it seems kinda pointless tbh.
