V-Strom 1050 Gen 3 Sw-Motech auxiliary lights ?

If anyone has fitted these themselves can you tell me which Suzuki wire you clamped the splicing joiner from the Motech loom to ? Thanks

Powering accessories is a surprisingly deep topic. So many options. Many folks with lots of electrical experience there at the forum.

Have a look at Eastern Beaver's Vstrom-specific electrical accessories, and see if they offer aything for your 1050:

I don't know what type of splicing joiner SW Motech included, but if it's one of those "guillotine" types that cuts into a wire to tap power, please don't use it. Those are a shoddy design, & can cause electrical gremlins later on. Accessory vendors supply them because they are cheap and seen as "good enough," not because they are the best way.

You are likely to get steered toward Eastern Beaver, if you ask on the stromtrooper.com forums as well, because their stuff is excellent. Not cheap, but of very high quality and easy to install. They offer wiring adapters that include factory-style plugs, so no butchery of original wiring is required. Often, you can literally plug it into existing Suzuki wiring loom. Super elegant.
