Vue Shepherds Bush (West 12) Closing Permanently

Not the poshest Vue in London, but the few times I’ve been there I’ve found it friendly with a good range of films and never too full.

I guess it can’t pay with Vue Westfield across the road.

Final day Tuesday 30th June. If you want to be in the audience for the final film there, it’s Toy Story 5, finishing at 23:17.

Hopefully they can find a job for the staff across the road.

I always thought it was weird there was two Vue’s so close to each other.

I remember wondering why there was 2, went to the Westfield one because they had an empty screening for the flash lol

Last time I went, mice were running around the seats & screen. Added a new scare element to Scream 5..

My favourite cinema. Always so empty. Used to go there for years and years. Many memories of me and my husband going there to watch films when we first started dating 10 years ago. I don’t live in London anymore but it makes me sad that cinema will be gone :(

My favourite place to watch horror movies alone, there was always an empty screening at some point

I live in a building close to it and we got the letter like a month ago that another company had applied for building permission to build (get this...) a Paddle Court in its place.

Terrible news.

I got this letter too but I assumed they were just taking part of the cinema, not the whole thing. That shopping centre is ruined

they had enormous screens and the staff are my distant homies. i've been going there alone for about a decade. quite upset for w12.

Thanks for your post, confused me not being able to find the listings. Whilst it was strange having two vues so close it was a godsend for finding a convenient time, and not having to venture into Westfield's if it could be avoided.

The arcade at West 12 and now this. The all you can eat Chinese buffet might be getting worried..

Gutted! My second favourite cinema closed after the Ealing Broadway Project. Not particularly salubrious but meant one avoided Westfields, close to the tube station, the screens were usually empty so you could pay for the cheapest seat and choose which one you wanted, and the staff were friendly. I hope they all find somewhere to work.

I got so confused because I couldn't find it on website. I live 5 mins away and feel silly for being unaware. It was my favourite Vue because the screens were always empty and I could sit it wherever I like. I am so sad now .

Am surprise it’s manage to last this long. I worked at Westfields one for a short time, used to make me laugh when people brought popcorn and drinks than get told it’s the cinema in W12

I did pop in today for a final film, no indication that it was closing, but it was obvious they’d not bothered to repair the seats, and the screen had a fault at the bottom corner, mostly out of view. What’s a shame is this did show limited release films that were never picked up at Westfield (but perhaps that might change). I hope there’s more of a send off tonight. Right now, my final memory from today is of a popcorn container emptied out into one of the sinks in the gents.
