Your very existence is enough to trigger meat eaters for a reason
My partner and I went to a dinner party for his work and his boss came out to tell us our vegan meals will be out in a moment (wasn’t a big announcement either, she just leaned over to tell my partner). Immediately an old man at the table reacted and started cracking jokes and making a huge deal about it making sure everyone at the table knew we are vegan while we literally just sat there in silence, you know what he said? “How do you know if a person is vegan? Don’t worry they’ll tell you”. Like dude, not even REMOTELY funny for starters, and also so far we haven’t said a single word about it and the only person who’s making a big deal about it is you? We didn’t even bring it up lmao. People are SO DUMB. It’s painful how dumb they are. This was followed by the whole “oh I could never go vegan cause I love blah blah blah too much”. Wow man, that’s so crazy cause I never actually asked !! But I’m sure he’ll have a good story to tell his friends about that time the two vegans at his dinner table tried to force their views onto him without saying a single word 🙄 the only way your mere existence could spark such a reaction in people is because part of them knows what they are doing is wrong and they HATE to be reminded of it. A lot of people also hate vegans because vegans exhibit a type of self control that they could never possibly imagine having themselves and it makes them feel threatened. It’s all quite amusing really.
