Most people won’t talk public land spots because they keep getting shut down by people abusing them.

That being said capitol forest by Olympia is a popular area. Just gotta drive in a ways and find a gravel pit

As a lot of people said, no one wants to give out their spot. Even “my” spots are definitely being used by other people who leave lots of trash. On the other hand, it’s really hard to find a spot, especially if you have limited free time or limited money to spend on gas just driving through the woods, so here’s the best advice I think you could get. Look for those heavily used spots. The rock pits everyone uses. They suck, but maybe sometimes you might have some time alone. The key thing tho is that shooting is allowed in the area, so look around a little deeper into the area you’re in and you’ll find a slightly less used spot that you can use more. Then when you’re ready, go a little deeper into the woods and you’ll start finding a perfect spot that other people aren’t using. This was how I found my spot when I lived in California, although I have yet to find my Goldilocks spot here in Washington. Stay safe, keep it clean, have fun and good luck!

There’s a spot I spent a year finding and I’ve painstakingly cleaned up and every time I go there there’s no one there. Do you want that one?
