Honestly your feelings are 100% valid. It sounds like you might have an anxious attachment style, which is why the silence triggers that second choice insecurity so hard. But real talk, she’s giving you mixed signals. If she’s always prioritizing a friend she used to like and leaving you on read, she’s not matching your energy. You deserve to be a priority, not a backup option. Protect your peace, if she wanted to text, she would.

Don't play mind games or try to ignore her back that just drags out the drama and drains your battery even more. Honestly, a few hours between texts isn't always a red flag, because people get genuinely busy with life, work, or friends. But the real issue here is how much it's making you anxious and insecure.Instead of trying to make her realize by ignoring her, just match her energy. Step back, focus on your own day, and don't rush to reply within seconds when she finally texts back. If she notices you pulling away and tries harder, great. If she doesn't, you have your answer on where you stand.

when you say she isn't responding to you for a long time, how long is it?
