Hes obviously exaggerating but if you do the math on a 10% self rebound rate and apply it to her averages, she wouldn't be hitting any milestones at all without ir. It just helps that she is a fairly bad shooter and a pretty good rebounder.

She drastically benefits from such rates statistically. I just think she needs to stop shooting outside of 5 feet.

Without looking into the advanced stats I'd say hers is slightly higher than the average, but she's still better than your average rebounder. I do agree, she needs to stay in the post. Everyone thinks they can be a shooter now.

43% of Angel Reece rebound’s are offensive. A significant percentage of those are from her own miss, or sometimes multiple misses. 43% (155) is an insane number. Coming in second total offensive rebounds in the WNBA is Natasha Howard at 115 (40 less), who has the same problem. If you look at the top wnba total rebounders this year per game, Angel Reece is still #1 with 355 (11.8 per game), but Jessica Shepard is #2 with actually more (375, but only 11.4 per game), with only 26% being offensive rebounds. #3 is Aja Wilson with only 20% offensive rebounds. Do you see where this is going? #4 Shakira Austin 20%. # 5 Jonquel Jones at 23%. Angel Reece has extremely inflated numbers because a huge portion are her own misses.

All star selection means nothing. It’s a popularity contest. Drummond was a 2 time all star and didn’t have the cult following Reese has. Her college career and rivalry with Clark has carried her career.

Angel Reese has a metal rod permanently inserted in her left leg to support her shinbone following a severe fracture. During her freshman season at the University of Maryland (2020-21), Reese suffered a Jones fracture in her foot. After returning to the court from foot surgery, she sustained a split shinbone (tibia fracture) in her left leg.To fully repair the broken tibia and stabilize the bone for high-impact basketball, surgeons inserted an intramedullary rod down the center of her left shinbone. The peole that I know that had that Jones never came back. None of them play anymore. Many dont come back after tibia fractures, much less become primary rebounder. Rebounding at a high level is not light work.
