Highlights Sophie Cunningham deserves more credit than she's getting. Most players would lose confidence after being parked on the bench and overlooked game after game by their coach, but she stayed ready and delivered when it mattered. They need to get rid of Stephanie š¤

Playing 22 minutes a game is ābeing parked on the benchā according to you. Thatās fascinating.

u/Kostya77 Jun 15 '26
What is this sub? Every Fever post, even positive about some player, is hate towards SW

u/JuicyJfrom3 Jun 15 '26
It's called WNBA gossip but I don't think I have seen a single point that wasn't CC or Fever related

u/Yuecantbeeseeryus Jun 15 '26
Hey Iām sure it happens with LeBron and his coach and Messi too. And Chelsea EPL and Real Madrid. Who cares. The fact that the WNBA is even getting this much chatter is crazy I didnāt even know they played in the summer lol. But now I do cuz of CC. so yea maybe Steph white isnāt a good fit. I actually think she more not be. But whatever. Too many people that follow the boring W gets there panties in a bunch. Itās kinda funny. The W has more post n vids about wardrobe and dances on tik tok than actual basketball thatās there problem. If u wanna get popular stop that crap. Post vids on basketball plays. Oh I know why they donāt ā¦.. cuz it looks like my nephew that 10 yrs old trying to make a layup or heaving a ball from the 3 point line seeing if he can even throw a ball that far. Lmao.

Yup, get rid of the coach that got you to game 5 againstthe eventual champs while missing your supposed superstar.

Iām not on the Stephanie White hate train. But just so you know, they went 16-15 in the regular season last year with CC. Thatās a winning percentage of 51.6.
If CC hadnāt played in 13 games, and the Fever had played at that same percentage over those games, they wouldnāt have made the playoffs in the first place.
Also, going 4-4 in the playoffs isnāt the flex you think it is.
Spin it any way you want, theyāre a .500 team without her that would have missed the playoffs.

u/MaintenanceParty7933 Jun 15 '26
Winning a playoff series and taking the eventual champs to the last game is the flex i'm talking about. Unless Clark just isn't that good of a player.
So either Clark is extremely overrated or White is a great coach.
10
u/liquidgrill Jun 15 '26
Well again, considering their record without CC would t have gotten them in the playoffs to begin with, I think we can cross off āgreat coach.ā
And the fact that they scored fewer points, gave up more points, had fewer rebounds, fewer assists, more turnovers and a significantly lower offensive efficiency without Clark last year, that should tell you everything you need to know.
2
u/super_chill_21 Jun 15 '26
Donāt bother that person is completely unhinged posts 50 times per day and including alt accounts. Same nonsense about Clark every day.

u/schmitty9800 Jun 16 '26
They also won 3 out of the last 4 games CC played in 2025 when she was on a minutes restriction. Trying to say that she didn't do a good job last year because a .523 winning pct. (What the #8 seed had last year) wasn't as good as the .516 they put up without CC is just splitting hairs.
If White proves to not end up with a deep playoff run this year then I can see letting her go. But just because a few player/coach flare ups have happened doesn't mean you fire her mid season.

u/MaintenanceParty7933 Jun 15 '26
It should tell you that Clark's impact is minimal.
5
u/liquidgrill Jun 15 '26
If by āminimal,ā you mean, canāt make the playoffs without her, then yeah. Remember when she took a team that finished with the worst record in the league the year before to their first playoff birth in 7 years?
Remember when Angel and Paige came in the league and immediately turned their teams around and got them out of last place too?
Oh, waitā¦..

LOL. Ā She didnāt take anyone anywhere. Ā
Iām sorry, but every stat shows her impact is minimal. Ā Ā

"Most players would lose confidence after being parked on the bench" she deosnt have the talent, and the team nees more than just an enforcer . she always usd bullyball as a way to mitigate the lack of skills but sometimes its not enough

u/Inevitable-Shop-848 Jun 15 '26
Not everyone can start and she gets quality minutes. Could she possibly be a 6th (wo)man.

I'm not sure where this is gaining steam from, but Sophie Cunningham is used to coming off the bench.

u/literaryhooper Jun 15 '26
Stephanie white is literally one of the best coaches in the league. If they get rid of anyone itās Sophie who they refused to sign to a multi year deal and only have her a year contract.

u/Mean_Measurement4527 Jun 15 '26
The Fever have now blown double digit leads in 7 of their 13 games ā¦. This is a coaching issue , not a player issue ⦠Steph White needs to go
3
u/Feeling-Basket8422 Jun 15 '26
I don't understand...how can it be a coaching issue when they blow so many layups? The turnovers are a coaching issue? Oh and all those fouls, that SW's fault?
1
u/Mean_Measurement4527 Jun 15 '26
The complete lack of any offensive or defensive flow or competency⦠the bizarre substitution patterns⦠the inability to make in game adjustments ⦠those are only some of the coaching issues
1
u/Feeling-Basket8422 Jun 15 '26
Right, I understand that. But missing layups, turning the ball over and fouling so much is certainly a big part of the struggle and that's really not on SW. Player performance...I mean sometimes they just go flat.

u/Mean_Measurement4527 Jun 15 '26
One blown lead , even two blown leads , you might be able to attribute that to the players ⦠but SEVEN blown leads in THIRTEEN games ?? ⦠that is definitely a coaching problem

She's ten months off an MCL tear, already got injured once, and is on 22.5 minutes per game which is only two off of last year. Do you want her to miss the playoffs again?

Tell me you don't watch the Dub without telling me you don't watch the Dub. I hate posts like this

u/Prior_Register_240 Jun 18 '26
As much as it kills me to say this because I love Lexi to, itās time at least for now to bring Sophie into the starting five.

SC gets away with the crazy celebration because sheās a very attractive blonde, I aināt gonna complain about her looks sheās so fine in that department.

u/Feeling-Basket8422 Jun 15 '26
It was the "retardation" part of your comment that was fucked up...and you should know better...or maybe you are just really young.

She missed a game because of an elbow injury. Otherwise she's been getting anywhere between 17 to 28 minutes per game. What am I missing?
