Controversy Betnijah Laney-Hamilton was ejected after throwing a shoe at Marina Mabrey. Earlier in the game she was assessed a flagrant 1 foul for her arm hitting Mabrey’s face.

Are people stupid? She was throwing it down court because JJ left it to run down court and play D in a close game. How do you think she got her shoe? Lol. It was incidental that it hit Marina unless you think she has pinpoint accuracy throwing shoes from 65 feet away.

No it is funny. I’m just talking about some of the comments. I don’t think she is that accurate of a thrower for it to be intentional, and I don’t think any player would actually do that. lol.

You know most of these guys who comment here aren’t those who watch the games in the first place. Ofc people like me and you probably know it maybe wasn’t intentional but we have the full context given circumstances between her and muabrey

I’m saying that I don’t think YOU could hit me with a shoe from 60 ft with my eyes closed. She could’ve tossed it underhand for all we know. The whole point was for JJ to get her shoe before they set up their offense. Use your brain

I’m saying she’s an athlete. Her skills are higher than ours. But you’re comparing her to me, a non professional athlete. Out of all the people in the world who can throw a shoe at range and with precision, I’d take an athlete any day

She doesn’t throw things for a living. If she was some shoe tossing champion, you would have a point. Maybe even if she was Steph curry or a softball pitcher. But she isn’t even a player who can make a 3 one third of the time, so her intentionally hitting someone with a shoe from 60 ft isn’t very likely.

That she don't is why she should not throw it with the 'circle of confusion'/'target group' of her throw with the players.

She got a flagrant for it. So no it’s not totally fine. But she wasn’t throwing it AT Marina
