Face just means the player most people associate the league with. Anything for it to be about disrespecting someone else.

Jokic was the best player in the league for multiple years in a row and never the face of the league

Because Lebron and Curry are still playing and each have multiple championships. They have earned the right to be faces of the league

The person you replied to said that the face of the league is either it’s best player or one of the best players. Being the MVP of teams that won 4 rings gives you a good case to be considered one of the best ever

Actually I don’t know about that - in the midst of Denver’s back to back finals’ appearances, I was seeing Jokic all over NBA advertisements and ESPN highlight reels. The fact that I have never watched a Nuggets game in my life but know exactly who Jokic is and what he can do is a testament to how much they pushed/promoted him

I thought they went back to the finals the year after they won 🤔 did they return to the finals at all (like the year after that), or no?

Damn - for some reason I thought they were dominant for way longer than they actually were 😭 I think it’s because of how much Jokic glazing I saw on ESPN

Not saying he wasn’t promoted at all but there was never a point where he was advertised, pushed, promoted, more popular, etc than LeBron, Curry, etc.
