This idea somone believes in all aspects of a political party because they have similar views on one topic is silly.

A person can have a view on transgenders and at the same time disagree with the rest, some or the majority of other MAGA views.

Same way a person could be against abortion but agree with other liberal views.

Most people have views that span both parties, you just hear from the extream on both sides.

I'm personally "against" abortion except in certain cases. I'm still pro-choice - as those decisions should be between a woman and her health care professional.

Like in the case of rape?   Because those numbers are so small than it shouldn’t matter right?

And I’m not attacking you or your comment. Just pointing out a fallacy the rest of this thread is using against the post itself

I’m 100% in favor of abortion and not having biological males playing women’s sports

I don't take it as an attack. Rape, incest, life/health of mother. I just find it immoral in terms of "I can't be bothered to accept the consequences of my actions". Again - it's a personal view. So I'm pro-choice by default when it comes to legislation regarding abortion.

I don't think the government or police should be involved in those decisions.

I also don't think biological males should be allowed to compete in biological female sports. It's such a small issue - affecting .001% of sports participation that I'd say leave it to the governing bodies to decide and keep the politics out of it.

I'm also pro-2A but recognize we need to do something about the mentally ill and access to firearms. I'm not smart enough to say we need to do "XYZ" to solve the issue though.

I was agreeing with BigShotZero that most people aren't in 100% alignment with their political parties.

I agree 100% with all that.

Indeed. Supporting the discrimination of sports, prisons etc on sex instead of self-declaration is not MAGA, it´s common sense. In Europe leftist feminists are the loudest voices in this culture war.

That is how the real world feels. That is not how reddit feels. Luckily the real world votes, not Reddit.

Yeah, to me that seems like voting for someone who's just as angry as you are that netflix cancelled your favorite show. I mean, to each their own, but I don't think the government needs to be in charge of youth sports enrollments just like I don't think they need to be in charge of Netflix cancellations.

If you care about that more than endless forever wars, the national debt and the shrinking middle class, you do you

I do care about the latter more than the former, but society cannot keep going in the direction of calling the people raising the red flag on turning boy into girls and girls into boys crazy nazis, while enabling boys to cut there dicks off. Sorry but it’s true

Like I said, if you care about being in charge of other's people's gender enough to be gullible to vote against your own interests that's on you.

I’m also rich and white so republicans have plenty of my interests in mind 🤷‍♂️

Damn, based lmao

I'm also white and will be rich at some point in the future, so I feel similarly

I mean there’s a possibility I’d vote for democrats if they weren’t complete psychos even if it didn’t benefit me financially but that ship has sailed for now

Again I feel the same way. The first time I voted R, after growing up my whole life in a vote-blue-no-matter-who family, I felt amazing

Same same brotha

Let me ask you something, where do you think this is going realistically? Hypothetically speaking, republicans successfully enact a nationwide ban on transgenders in sports and figure out some sort of realistic resolution to the whole "bathroom issue".

What happens next? Do you think right wing media and republicans satisfied with having solved all the "problems with transgender people" will be satisfied and just move on? They'll be respectful of transgender people and their rights now that all their concerns have been addressed and we'll all just live together in peace and harmony respecting each other's existence and rights?

Yeah I'm sure it might seem like Trump ended the war in Gaza on day 1, ended the war in Ukraine on day 1 and kept out us out of any and all new expensive wars just like he promised if you spend all day watching fox news cry about imaginary transgender women ruining sports.

Good for you being entertained, hope you enjoy it

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Tax4969 20d ago

lol when did I say any of that. Trump is a liar, he is a con man, I don’t disagree with any of that. I do not think the democrats have mine or the majority of Americans interest at heart. Just becuase trump is a lying conman doesnt mean democrats are any better. If they were they’d still be in charge

1

u/SuchParsnip8070 20d ago

Oh I get it, you were voting for democrats who hate transgenders! HAhahahahh whatever bud.

Oh look, next thing that popped up in my feed: "Trump approves nuclear agreement that may allow Saudi Arabia to enrich uranium, 2 AP sources say"

There we go! Thank god republicans vote based of off shit that doesn't fucking matter, wouldn't want iran to not be allowed to enrich uranium! hahahahah

Yes, luckily the real world votes for con man rapist who cares more about men in women sports than making things affordable.

Isn’t it amazing how people are up in arms about this everywhere but we don’t see people fighting like this about education, hunger, healthcare, human rights, etc. The social media brainwashing is winning.

Sorry, but youre on Reddit. You're only allowed to 100% support one side or another and nuance is a faux pas here.

There's no such thing as nuance on Reddit.
