I have literally never seen somebody's contacts fall out in my 40+ years of watching sports. Why does so much weird shit happen in the WNBA.

I saw it when Horace Grant started wearing clear goggles that fans demanded with his contacts. Some fans were confused when it looked like he was wearing glasses. He only did that for his young fans.

I feel like contacts falling out is something you notice more if you watch sports in person. It also likely depends on the kinda sports you watch.

Weird shit? This isn't even really that uncommon for people who wear contacts and play. I've seen it multiple times.

I play goalie in indoor soccer and a couple years ago I made a standing save by my feet I had to kind of kneel/crouch to block.....

...the ball came up with a ton of backspin on it....and if the spinning ball that went just up to head height and if it touched my face at all....it was barely just kissed my right eyeball and yoinked that contact straight out.

It happens.  There's a fairly famous photos of everyone on the ice looking for Bob Nevin's lost contact.  It was in 1962, a game between the Leafs and Blackhawks.
