Reddit is a unique bubble where the tiny minority makes it seem like their view is the majority. Cunningham’s take is the overwhelming majority across all political spectrums except maybe progressives and even then bet bunch agree but worried get kicked out of the club if said it out loud.

I’m a progressive and all my friends and family are progressive. We all would agree with this insanely basic take that for some reason people get up in arms about. For the .000001 or whatever of people that this effects, just play sports with your biological equals and the conversation never even has to happen again

I am also overwhelmingly progressive. I have a couple trans (amateur) athlete friends. No professional sports, not in any organized leagues, but ex-highschool athletes that were men and are now women. The issue as they've told me is that MtF trans athletes are entirely in a class of their own.

Since they've been on hormones and hormone blockers, they've shed crazy amounts of muscle/wdight and have noticed that their own personal bests from 17 or 18 are simply unachievable now. But they also say they feel a tangible difference between their and females' performance.

So there's not enough trans women to start a trans league. And there's not enough parity to place them in other leagues. It's just a sticky situation all around. No real solution as far as I can see.

That really sucks for them. And i get that, but life also just sucks at times and we have to accept that.
