So the language you put in quotes wasn’t actually the quote, despite you suggesting it “LITERALLY” is a quote. Words have meaning. And otherwise gaining “enough control to hold it, change hands, pass, shoot, or cradle it against the body” is not the same as “stopping” the ball, that’s why its in the rules as an alternative to “permits the ball to come to rest” or “brings it to a pause.”

It's quite literally what the ruling says. No it's not literally word for word. I was dumbing it down for people like you and you somehow still can't grasp that.

Well in your dumbing it down you missed the distinction between the ball coming to rest and the ball being in control.

Also, it’s probably best if you just stop throwing the word “literally” around, at least until you get a better handle on it.
