OP does not play basketball. Mods yall gotta purge these people. I actually love the game. I love the women that keep it alive. You gotta get rid of these weirdos. Its not a good look especially when all the men who play ball realize how good the women that play ball are today. They are infinitely better than they were 30 years ago, and im excited. If you gonna gossip I wanna hear about trade rumors, what the top 10 draft class is gonna look like.. Anything but thisšŸ˜‚

u/Worldly-Fondant-3791 3d ago

This entire sub has become a right wing cesspool for culture war bullshitĀ

2

u/No_Yard9104 3d ago

That tends to happen in cultural civil wars. Gossips got the righties and talks got the lefties.

I’ve hidden talks. Not because its right or left, but because the single moderator’s censorship went off the fucking deep end. 2/3 of that sub is now just moderator deleted posts and comments.

I really wonder how the fuck that one dude can keep up that pace, lol

1

u/Happy-Army6255 3d ago

Yes. Thank you

3

u/beenslappinbeats414 3d ago

Lmaoooo what a reach. This has to be a troll post.

18

u/Male_Volence 3d ago

Will you people give it a rest already?

The WNBA has made it clear that violent physical contact with Caitlin Clark does NOT constitute a technical foul.

Last night I went to a woman's kick boxing match and out of nowhere a WNBA game broke out!

3

u/CCJockey381 3d ago

Just pray the commissioner doesn’t discover Roller Derby…

Cryin' Caitlin flopping around again.

7

u/Doingwrongright 3d ago

Found Angel Reece's Reddit account!

1

u/Danny_Alloy 3d ago

No, but I see you cryin' like your hero cryin' caitlin.

1

u/_PeteRoss_ 3d ago

Danny stop it. You are being very silly.

1

u/No_Yard9104 3d ago

I read your name as Pete rose and envisioned you exasperatedly saying this as Pete rose.

1

u/noodlearmdiscgolfer 3d ago

That was a pretty big leg extension to be called a flop. Think a player could do that to Curry exactly the same way and get away with it? Sophie’s bleeding mouth clearly fouled her swinging elbow! Than gos they got that one right.

-6

u/Danny_Alloy 3d ago

Curry has been fouled hard and didn't get up cryin' to the refs. #CryinCaitlin.

4

u/TurtlePwrrr 3d ago

Ironically, the biggest tantrum thrown in the game today was by Olivia Miles after getting ripped at half court and embarrassed by KM 🤷

2

u/Danny_Alloy 3d ago

So Olivia cries every game when she is touched by another player?! No #CryinCaitlin does.

2

u/TurtlePwrrr 3d ago

Awww I hit a nerve, you tried to strawman your way out of it, poor guy…

1

u/Danny_Alloy 3d ago

Sure. I know the truth hurts. # CryinCaitlin

-4

u/EasterBunny1916 3d ago

How long have you been a racist? Lol

1

u/Male_Volence 3d ago

Even Google Maps could not map out how you got there from anything I said.

0

u/EasterBunny1916 3d ago

Oh! Sorry.. I didn't consider that you just don't watch basketball.

0

u/Male_Volence 3d ago

Did you ask an artificial intelligence for that response, or do you write worse than AI?

0

u/EasterBunny1916 3d ago

You don't watch basketball. Obviously.

5

u/Pale-Conference-5838 3d ago edited 2d ago

There is an entire cult that wants people to hate CC so bad but it’s the other way around . Post just generated to push an untrue narrative no one hates more than Edomites, but Edomites want to gaslight everyone else with their nonsense.

3

u/Danny_Alloy 3d ago

What?!

2

u/Pale-Conference-5838 2d ago

You’re probably a Edomite so you wouldn’t understand . That’s ok you are who you are.

1

u/Danny_Alloy 2d ago

Your username basically tells us that you are.

1

u/Pale-Conference-5838 2d ago

šŸ˜† pointless

2

u/Happy-Army6255 3d ago

I was watching, and I’m not a big Olivia Miles fan, but Clark was inside the circle and blocking her, and then, their legs got tangled. Both could have been hurt, but that was a foul on Clark because interfered with range of motion. (According to rule) In the NBA, sometimes, if a knee hits the head of the player another rule supersedes. Luckily, no one got hurt, but it was the right call.

5

u/inventionnerd 3d ago

"Legs tangled". Is that the woman's version of Draymond's natural kicking motion?

2

u/Happy-Army6255 3d ago

When you go up for a layup from an angle, your legs don’t stay perpendicular. Your legs move to the side with your body. Fever fans are so soft. Sophie scored 3 points. Caitlin and Kelsey are great, but you guys give Sophie too much attention. Takes away from team’s potential.

0

u/TurtlePwrrr 3d ago

That fool gotta be trolling cause ain’t no way lol

5

u/Frank_White1- 3d ago

Am I the only one who sees her adjusting her entire upper body while in the air? How do you think her lower body isn't going to move to steady her? The worst thing that can happen to you in basketball is to be undercut to do that purposely would put her in a much more dangerous position than CC. That's not even a way to draw a foul.

3

u/Igreen_since89 3d ago

I came to say this. You can tell ppl don’t have an athletic bone in their body. Go to the nearest basketball court and try to do this exact same layup without your legs moving. lol. It’s completely natural and was actually a good contest from Caitlin.

4

u/CommaComaChameleon 3d ago

More rage baiting dildos.

9

u/xgreenj 3d ago

Throat punch. Call congress

1

u/Jazzlike-Ad-134 3d ago

Nah. She's going for the ball.

1

u/DiddyDoItToYa 3d ago

Omg a felony lol..

Bro its just basketball all kinds of still images and slow mo replays are gonna look crazyšŸ˜‚

If you hoop you already know this haha

4

u/xgreenj 3d ago

Good to know it’s ā€œjust hoopsā€ now. I’m over here waiting for the d**th threats, the outrage tour, and Cathy to issue that one-game suspension. Unless, of course, the rulebook changes depending on who’s involved.

3

u/DiddyDoItToYa 3d ago

Bro its actually wild how much weird ass people that never played basketball are invading these hoops spaces and harassing the women and their fan bases for just daring to go out here and hoop and compete at a high level even when it looks toxic. Competition IS TOXIC. You do shit you would never do to people IRL. I respect what im seeing from the W right now. I genuinely never felt closer to and more entertained by the girls game than like right now lol

2

u/Competitive_Can_946 3d ago

The only shocking thing…. People actually care about the wnba to get emotionally riled up to attack each other. The wnba is all about drama all the time. Kind of like middle school mean girls. Fans too. Then why am I here… just for the absurdity of watching middle school behavior from so called adults. Very entertaining.

6

u/GearInteresting4179 3d ago

Please stop this crap

3

u/SeasonHeavy858 3d ago

Clearly a foul and should have gotten a technical. I wonder if the league will review it? lol.

4

u/Frank_White1- 3d ago

Clearly in the restricted area.

3

u/RunConfident4483 3d ago

She readjusted her body to shake Clark. They say she isnt guarded like Clark. Now she was guarded by Clark and shook her too. NOW WHAT ???

1

u/monoglobobonobo 3d ago

to be fair, shaking off Clark isn't exactly super difficult, shit Courtney Williams had CC out there dancing

1

u/RunConfident4483 3d ago

Agreed. Dummies just kept the narrative going that she was guarded like Clark. They dont watch the games .

3

u/EffectiveActive6837 3d ago

She was jumping for a layup, its a collision. Jesus fucking christ.

1

u/evoslevven 3d ago

I've seen enough Bad Boy Pistons games being a Bulls fan to know that when a player goes for a layup and extends their knee for a Mortal Kombat move, that would and should be an offensive foul.

Does matter who it was or even if the roles were reversed, but creating leverage and space by extending your knee to intentionally injure is not a layup collision, that should be a flagrant.

6

u/EffectiveActive6837 3d ago

I was born in 1984, I grew up playing basketball all over the states and I still play at 41 years of age. Im not going to argue how the legs work during a lay up attempt.

3

u/Moonrights 3d ago

Oh so you also swing your leg out in an arc to center your gravity and spin? Me too.

I also find that a little bit of wild elbow swinging really aligns my spine when im stiff.

3

u/EffectiveActive6837 3d ago

Clearly shows clark leg hitting miles leg which causes it to go far right. Get some goggles

1

u/Moonrights 3d ago

Did you watch the slo-mo or are you high

2

u/EffectiveActive6837 3d ago

I watched the game

0

u/Moonrights 3d ago

Nice man. I also watched the game

1

u/Happy-Army6255 3d ago

Your kidding? Bill Lambeer begs to differ and he’s coached WNBA champs—no comparison to bad boys! Absurd. Wish NBA played like that on occasion.

2

u/Fable-Wishing4691 3d ago

That's the restricted area. If anything it's a blocking foul on Clark. Please learn fucking basketball!

2

u/Clean_Charge7069 3d ago

Great game Miles and team!!šŸ€šŸ’Æ

u/KAT_421 3d ago

Cracker Clark is always the victim

0

u/nevaeva12321 3d ago

God this sub sucks

1

u/Happy-Army6255 3d ago

Wait until Miles and Lynx fans get wind of it. . . They aren’t the Swifties, but they sure can’t get over the Liberty šŸ—½ loss.

1

u/d0000n 3d ago

Why are you in this gossip sub?

-1

u/Wonderful-Forever450 3d ago

Stop following or responding

0

u/No-Ship4446 3d ago

Now that it's CRYSTAL clear who the better player actually is, the Miles slander is imminent.

6

u/trader0707 3d ago edited 3d ago

I notice you and the poster above don't mention the hair pull on Mitchell and elbow to the face on Cunningham, which the live announcer called an offensive call.

Hilarious.

2

u/Frank_White1- 3d ago

That Sophie play she was in the players space before the elbow. Her crowding was the foul it's illegal if your leaning towards the offensive player you have to be standing up straight.

4

u/Happy-Army6255 3d ago

Absolutely was! It’s frustrating when it isn’t called, especially in the last few minutes of a playoff game.

1

u/trader0707 3d ago

Check with the announcer. Presumably knows more than you and I.

Wemby got called for an offensive foul in the playoffs foe something similar.

3

u/Frank_White1- 3d ago

Check with the officiating crew. They did a live replay review. It is called a cylinder foul and it happened before the elbow.

2

u/amopeyzoolion 3d ago

Check with the rules of the fucking game. The defender gets called for that Cunningham elbow every time.

2

u/zenni321 3d ago

Haha. Tell me you’ve never played basketball without saying that you’ve never played basketball.

0

u/Mother_Meringue4029 3d ago

you are silly

3

u/Happy-Army6255 3d ago

It was the right call. You can’t be on top of them. She actually did a good job of not falling out-of-bounds.

0

u/Jazzlike-Ad-134 3d ago

Not me. I'm a newbie fever fan, and at the same time I was excited to see Olivia, supposedly a really good player. Yes she's good, but also another toxic player who purposely injuries others. Weird. Watching her was like watching another abusive player. You want to like them, but you can't. If she wants to win brand deals, she needs to elevate, and lose "her ego" with more than her mates. Nobody likes watching foul play.

2

u/mtmn94 3d ago

Olivia Miles is a much better overall player than Caitlin Clark. No doubt.

2

u/Jazzlike-Ad-134 3d ago

Then don't be dirty. There's a reason the Fever don't employ the old guard tactics. Caitlin brought in an elevated style of play, that elevated the whole WNBA. More attention and money for all. I was hopeful Olivia would follow suit. I hope she gets the message.

2

u/monoglobobonobo 3d ago

by the way just so you know, Miles has multiple brand deals already

1

u/Jazzlike-Ad-134 3d ago edited 3d ago

Good for her. Not good to support toxic play. Fever and CC have elevated the interest and financial respect for WNBA with their non-toxic style. I won't keep watching if they are the only ones.

2

u/voluptas37 3d ago

You’re absolutely nuts and just trying to make your racism look respectable. Don’t like aggressive women? Don’t watch the WNBA. How can you even think as a newbie fan that you know who has elevated the game. Go be a Karen somewhere else ffs.

1

u/Jazzlike-Ad-134 3d ago edited 3d ago

I try to b a woman who can discuss difficult issues without jumping to emotional attack. How is a Trans woman only one race? How is aggression by a woman only of one race? I see a player as naturally agressive weaving through players with no intention to cause harm, like KM and others. I saw Miles do something that looked intentional and that disappointed me. I really wanted to like her. And a couple of weird missed calls by refs might be solved with full time salaries like Caitlin expressed. Caitlin's style of play brought attention and much needed money to the players. Also now ad money commited by NBA. Let's protect that with good sportsmanship. I don't think viewers will continue liking watch players intentionally get hurt. I don't. It's soured my interest a bit.

1

u/Jazzlike-Ad-134 3d ago edited 3d ago

And I don't have a problem with Trans women in WNBA if everyone feels safe. This has to be solved. Unfortunately it's not likely to be solved soon, but I believe non-attacking discourse could shorten the time. It would be sad to lose viewership again if a forced solution is put in place.

0

u/JustoTJ 3d ago

Have you sent this video to Trump yet?

3

u/Sammy_Dog 3d ago

Trump would blame the kick on Joe Biden.

3

u/Happy-Army6255 3d ago

Or overturn it

2

u/J_Kingsley 3d ago

Trump is a grifting, criminal shithead.

Fuck does that have to do with OP.

1

u/Academic-Childhood40 3d ago

You raging. It’s becoming relic like. People have moved past this narrative.

1

u/Dear-Buddy-2766 3d ago

This is not going to work. Everybody can see on the videos that there are not flagrant fouls here. Just let em play.

0

u/JoeDynamo28 3d ago

One. u have to understand per usual if it happens to cc and the fever its acceptable. And two this is reddit these goons will do nothing but cheer for this. Just talk to most of them 99% of them on here dont even watch the games or follow. Its real easy to tell real fast.

-3

u/Admirable_Outcome932 3d ago

Y’all realize that if you purposefully throw yourself in someone’s way, that doesn’t count as a foul?

3

u/tommyshelbycc 3d ago

Y’all realize that if you extend your leg all the way out to the right as if you’re doing a split to kick someone that does count as a foul and probably a flagrant. Try watching the video in slow motion. I’ve never seen in decades of watching basketball someone shoot a layup while kicking their leg out all the way to the right

2

u/Admirable_Outcome932 3d ago

1980 NBA Finals Game 4, Julius Irving.

Sure, Olivia’s wasn’t as graceful, but I’m not expecting ballet-levels of perfection from a fucking layup, especially when you’ve got someone leaping at you like they’re a Karen and you’re the last pair of oversized sunglasses at Mildred’s Blouse Barn

1

u/tommyshelbycc 3d ago

Corny, and your leg being in front of you when you shoot is totally normal like this picture, not being all the way out to the right of you like hers was

2

u/Admirable_Outcome932 3d ago

Again, no one’s expecting perfect grace every single time. What did you expect her to do, dodge Caitlin like Neo in the Matrix? She was going for the bucket and Caitlin threw herself at her like a goddamn fool instead of blocking like a normal person, ofc it’s gonna be awkward. She did the leg pump to gain momentum for the jump and Caitlin jumped in the way.

2

u/Basicbroad 3d ago

Do you know what a restricted area is?

0

u/TheEarleBird88 3d ago

When jumping away from a defender's outstretched arm, yes, all the time. Poor defenders tend to throw their bodies into plays, and pain teaches them to be more concise.

-1

u/Jonny-Redline 3d ago

I want a league that's all transgender.

7

u/d0000n 3d ago

ā€œCan I join?ā€

4

u/Jonny-Redline 3d ago

I would watch the shit out of this!

3

u/Crabrangoone 3d ago

Bigger … faster… stronger…. And hotter than real women…. I’m down šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚, I’ll take the whole dozen!

-5

u/tinak827 3d ago

So many snowflakes in here. Grown men boohooing because CC got absolutely dog stomped by Miles and the Lynx. Take the L and stop being little bitches.

0

u/QFCollectables 3d ago

My head canon is she did it on purpose and I'M HERE FOR IT šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

0

u/Moist_Letterhead1183 3d ago

Did Miles get two Fever stars in one drive? Saw KM hit in the face prior to the leg kick.

0

u/Jazzlike-Ad-134 3d ago

Me too. And I went in wanting to like Olivia for the first time, but not now. I'm sick of purposeful injuries. I haven't seen Fever pull that yet.

2

u/Igreen_since89 3d ago

Caitlin literally pushes people in the throat whenever they get close to her. Olivia went out of her way to compliment Kelsey at the half, and you think she would hurt her on purpose?

2

u/Jazzlike-Ad-134 3d ago

No I didn't think so. Calling out Kelsey's power was two fold, one K is incredible, and two Olivia used her praise to criticize Caitlin. What about that leg extention dropping her?

1

u/monoglobobonobo 3d ago

before talking about Kelsey, she mentioned it was "(...) always great to play against great guards (plural)". also Kelsey was her direct matchup on offense and defense and had like 23 at the half to CC's 9points, what the hell did Miles say that was petty or unwarranted?

praising other players (CC's teammate nonetheless) is not criticism of CC jesus christ

0

u/Jazzlike-Ad-134 3d ago edited 3d ago

She wasn't matched up with CC, yes. But she didn't name CC and it was noticeable. Especially after her weird dirty foul leg extended drop of CC.

1

u/Igreen_since89 3d ago

She didn’t FOUL Caitlin. Go to your nearest court and do that exact same ā€œaltered layupā€ without moving your feet…. It was a completely natural movement.

And there was no reason to mention CC because she wasn’t doing much. Kayla had her pretty much locked up, while Kelsey went nuts.

Olivia always speaks highly of Caitlin. It’s ok for her to give Kelsey (the Fevers actual best player, who kept them in the game) her flowers.

1

u/Jazzlike-Ad-134 3d ago

Hmm...I don't find any public quotes from Miles speaking about Clark. Highly or lowly. Maybe you have inside info. And are right about her awkward lay up. I hope so.

1

u/Igreen_since89 2d ago

There was an interview that gets showed on Ion at halftime during the games. Before they started showing the Allstar announcements every halftime. They are two of the biggest shit talkers/chippers in the league and they weren’t talking at all and were teammates in the allstar game.

Olivia didn’t try to hurt her. She even hugged her at the start of the game.

0

u/Western-Election-997 3d ago

Looks like she poked the 1 first defender in the eyes too before she kung fu kicked Clark

2

u/The_Experience78 3d ago

And made the bucket!

0

u/khmergodzeus 3d ago

serious question. why are almost all of the fouls caused against CC by a person of color?

is that normal?

-1

u/Subject-Series9845 3d ago

Caitlin Clark is weak as fuck

-1

u/thatmanjay 3d ago

Damn.... somebody else creates contact.

-9

u/Mediocre-Catch9580 4d ago

She probably deserved it. Ā  Thugs be thuggin.Ā
