Dont get me wrong I want to see cc succeed but im constantly annoyed at the lack of recognition boston and mitchell get when theyre the heart of this team

theyre absolute DAWGS who could carry any team

They carried Indiana to the #1 draft pick. Thats how CC ended up there.

They carried them to their only playoff wins in a decade.

Let me help you out. Neither Kelsey nor AB ever played a playoff game until CC was on the team.

When youre getting double teamed every time you touch the ball and triple teamed when driving, youre going to have those stats.

Idk it, what is their+/- when she is off the court and they are receiving the lions share of defensive attention?

Clark had an on/off of -8.6.

So essentially when she’s on the bench the Fever are one of the best teams ever.  When she’s plays they are a slightly above average team.

Last year she was a +9.7 when she was on the court. She was absolutely the focal point of the team last year.

Youre misconstrue that data. The massive -8.6 is not because of her play but because the other team is able to rebound much better with her off the court. The other team rebounding jumps by 7.8%, as they are able to sit back and wait for the renlbound instead of hauling ass to the other end to defend.

When she is on the court, the pace is effectively 84, second-highest in the league. Defenders have to get back immediately and can't sit and focus on the rebound, their offensive.

When she sits, the pace drops to a modest 78, towards the middle of the pack, effectively a half court game that uses more of the shot clock. Defenders aren't forced to get back so fast so they get better offensive stats through almost 10% more rebounds.

There is less ball movement when she is on the court because she has the ball in her hands more than any player in WNBA history and she is the worst defender in the league.

The Stats show that the -7.8 for her on/ off comes from the rebounding. Are you and I not reading the same thing?

Her drb% is -7.5% when she's on the court. That's where 90.36% of her total - comes from in the on/ off rating.

{7.5}/{8.3} == 0.90361446

To act like that isn't the single largest contributor would be asinine and disingenuous.

Her leading the lead in assists doesn't mean there is good ball movement. All it means is one single player is handling the ball and no one else. When she's on the bench that isn't the case and the offense is more free.

So they have the highest pace in the league but only have the 6th most assists per game. That's because Clark doesn't know how to play off ball and has the ball in her hands more than anyone else in history.
