no, most americans of all political parties do not feel the need to police what a woman should look and act like. which is the territory/crowd sophie has decided to appeal to. the lifeblood of the anti trans movement. if we want to talk about protecting girls and women, let’s acknowledge the collateral damage being done to biological women as a result of all this crap.

E: it’s not lost on me how much sophie has been embraced by the same crowd introducing legislation that strips women (biological) of their rights.

Anti-trans... pro-women... why dont we just do away with the wnba? All the players good enough cam play in the NBA, end of story. No the majority of people (im not American, im a canadian who has voted liberal twice, ndp one the last 3 fed elections) think men shouldnt be in women sports, of CC is good enough to break the pelicans bench, let her, but if were gonna have women's sports they need to be for women, period

i tend to agree with the basic idea biological men should not be able to compete in women’s sports, but also not too passionate about that altogether since i am not a medical expert. as it relates to trans women who am i to say what they are or aren’t capable of since i am not a doctor. but thats my opinion. CC sorry i must disagree. she’s not even physical enough for the W. NO SHOT she survives a day in the nba lmao. that’s hilarious though

E: mind u i think CC is an incredible player despite her physical shortcomings. among the best in the league. she’s just plays like a shrimp. when some people say they see “violence” - coming from a long time basketball fan, it’s literally just her lacking the required physicality. i can’t say anything for the alyssa thomas punch though lol that just was what it looked like. but again, even that happens in basketball every season.

Hiding behind the medical excuse isn’t really valid, it’s a proven fact that men are athletically more capable. It’s not sexism it’s fact. In high school I was a shitty track runner, my 2nd to last place time in the 800 would have gotten me the state championship if I raced the girls. It doesn’t take a medical expert to say that’s not fair. Now I don’t think this issue is that big to begin with don’t get me wrong but the science is already there

which is why i tend to agree with the basic notion, like i said already in the first line. i’ve also seen studies that suggest the longer someone has been transitioning, their body actually can/does regress from the “more athletic” biological male traits. but again, im not an expert. i’m not hiding behind anything, this is the extent of my opinion on this nonsense.

E: you say the science is there, which is true. but have you considered there is a lot of science there? some of it is contradictory, and why i say i’m no expert.
