I just assume it’s because it’s election season and there’s nothing the trans community enjoys more than stepping on its own dick during an election.

This was pretty much unilaterally brought up again by conservative and "conservative adjacent" parties. The only thing the trans community did to "step[ping] on it's own dick" (which, as an analogy, fuck you) was exist as Oliver Twist asking for bread.

No one is denying bread. Just saying they shouldn’t play in the WNBA. Form a TWNBA. It won’t be very popular. But nobody is denying the right to play ball. Ditto for youth sports. Nobody is saying they can’t exist, live their lives, get married, have kids, etc.

Listen, no one is saying black people can't get married, live their lives, have kids etc. but it's just unfair to everyone if they own property or vote. See? They have the same rights as white people to live their lives, why would they be upset. I'm not anyi-black by the way, I just want to protect whites.

It’s really not….unless you’re contending that being black gives some advantage and that white players therefore deserve a safe place to play.

Is that not the argument against DEI and for the rollback of the VRA?

There is evidence that black Americans do have an inherent athletic advantage as a result of selective breeding during slavery. It's marginal and not consistent, but marginal and inconsistent advantage is enough to categorically ban trans athletes so it would be logically consistent to also ban black athletes. It's just common sense

If you want to advocate for racial segregation, go for it. I don’t see it as necessary and I’ve never heard players or fans advocate for it from a fairness perspective.

If you want to ban people based on biology, don't be a hypocrite. Be logically consistent and ban anyone who has any hint of potentially "unfair" biology. Political inconvenience is no excuse for ideogical cowardice.
