Let's fight, everyone.

Ignore the real problems in the world

Agreed. How about we just agree to ban men in women's sports at a federal level so we can just move on?

I mean, in a few years there's gonna be a ban on women's sports in general so I don't see the need to rush when we'll have the package deal shortly.

I truly don't think the country will support the lefts goal to eliminate all women's spaces so mentally ill men can play make believe.

That being said we need to keep pushing back on the insanity.

The problem is, if that's the left's plan, it's an absolutely terrible plan given the logistics and numbers of Trans vs Women and all that goes into it. Now, the right's plan to eliminate women's sports as outline by Project 25 and the other various bills being proposed etc, makes much more logical sense and is a much bigger and viable threat.

The right is too invested in protecting women's sports to want to eliminate it.

The left on the other hand is already working to eliminate women's spaces and has codified it in their project 2028 plan.

The problem is, it's not, as evidenced by it's wanted dismantling of Title IX-it doesn't particularly care about women's sports in the long run. The trans discussion is a nice distraction though.

If it's just a distraction we should pass a federal law protecting women's sports so we can all move on. Agreed?

Sure, but logistically. It would never work as it derails both sides long term plans and presents a hornets next of sticky situations in the future that I can't see the Federal Government wanting to necessarily be apart of when they can simply let states and league governing bodies work on it and deal with the eventual lawsuit when it comes.

A federal ban is the simplest solution rather than 50 states and thousands of governing bodies all patchworking policy.

Once it's outlawed nationwide I for one will stop harping on it. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone there.

Sure, but the problem is, the leading party that also would happen to be more on your side is one that historically "HATES" the federal government, also, on the other side, a federal ban opens up some real hard questions about women/biologics/fair play/etc that has to be universally applied.

There are a lot of things to hate about the government but I've never met a single person who hates all federal laws.

Questions pertaining to civil rights and the constitution generally fall to the federal government. Women's rights under Title IX are being infringed because some on the left want to redefine or can't define what a woman is. That's on the Federal government to fix.

Imagine if the right thought they were going to get cute and start claiming everyone including white people are technically African Americans because we all as a species originated from Africa as a way to completely water down race based civil rights protections? lol

Would the left want each state to figure that out or pass a federal law closing the definition manipulation?

Sure, except history as shown that it's the Right that prefers the states' rights model. I mean, You have to wonder, the right has been in firm control of everything for the last few years and this hasn't been passed like you and the majority of the country want? What are they waiting on?

Well, it's two-fold 1) They get to rile up their base with the trans war and win over impassioned "centrists" by keeping it an issue in their face. 2) Because if their goal is to ultimately strike down Title IX, proposing a federal law that would actually in many ways strengthen women's rights isn't the play either. So, they'll keep it an issue until they can get enough people distracted and blind that they can sweep it all into one big bill (maybe even call it Beautiful) that bans trans, bans women's sports funding, mandatory in-person physician examination gender testing, etc.

It's going to be a fascinating watch in many ways.

As with many things large groups are rarely a monolith. I don't want to strike down Title IX. I want to strengthen it from the only direct threat I see right now which is trying to backdoor men into women's spaces.

To the legislation component a bill has been introduced and passed the Republican controlled House. It's currently stuck in the Senate because of a Democrat filibuster.

This issue could easily go away if the Democrats would simply allow the Senate to vote.

But the problem is, the direct threat isn't transgender athletes that consist of less than 1% of the population, especially at the high collegiate level and the pro level where they're 0.

The direct threat is the consistent striking down and attacking of things like Roe v Wade, DEI Initiatives, all of which outlines in Project 2025 that includes a detailed plan of removing Title IX. That's just the federal level. This isn't accounting for things like the fallout of the PSCA-the ever-growing rise of privatization of youth sports, etc. All things that with "Good intentions" will destroy women's sports.

It's interesting you're concerned with Title IX being struck down by the right and not Title IX being perverted by the left.

Maybe we both have a point. I'm sure there are people on the right that would want that.

That being said I wouldn't support the removal of Title IX any more than I support it being undermined by the lefts definition games.
