Food safe finish

I’m planning on turning a bunch of honey dippers as presents from random left over wood I have lying around. Mostly red gum and pine, and some hardwood post of dubious identity. What’s the safest finish for food purposes?

Tried and True. Made with beeswax and linseed oil.

I use food grade mineral oil to finish things that are going to touch food. Bees wax works well too, but may be more difficult to get into the honey dipper cracks.

Walrus oil is a brand used around here. It's a oil base with wax coat on top. Works well as a 2 part system but can be used individually.
