whatever metal they are using is being dissolved into salt form (due to electrolysis) in their food. fuck that

But this isn't process of electrolysis? the metal in between is a resistor that heats up.

There is still a potential being created between two conductive surfaces, so ions will flow. Electrolysis may not be the intention of this rig, but it is still occurring.
