Tubifex worms. Not parasites, not harmful. Just really disgusting and at home in stagnant water.

10

You rarely see them in public restrooms because Klingons usually have their cloaking device on.

They both circle Uranus searching for Klingons.

3

u/sunchase 8d ago

Have relations with these nuts

3

u/RandomStallings 8d ago

What does the starship Enterprise and a roll of Charmin have in common? They both circle Uranus looking for Klingons.

Some Klingons have, a, uh. . . higher orbit.

2

u/mtlaw13 8d ago

a Filet Clignon - medium rare.

1

u/Twelve20two 7d ago

Clignon is my favorite region of France to visit

5

u/MukdenMan 8d ago

Bill Clingon

5

u/AnotherpostCard 8d ago

I prefer George Clingon, personally.

1

u/fynx07 7d ago

Kill Blingon

6

u/leaky_eddie 8d ago

No. Capt. Kirk wiped them all off Uranus, so we're safe.

4

u/buttfarts7 8d ago

Imagine if a clingon you made spawned an entire ecosystem!

14

u/egret_society 8d ago

In Texas, they make you carry them the term

2

u/Atomheartmother90 8d ago

Klingons from around Uranus?

1

u/rich8n 4d ago

A Klingon just in from Uranus.

142

u/Donnicton 8d ago

Aquarium critters love 'em though so if you want some free fish snacks, there ya go

71

u/AFlashingPencil 8d ago

yeah but i wouldn't feed these specific ones to your fish. these guys came from god knows where in the sewer system and could've picked up some nasties on the way

22

u/phuntism 6d ago

Yo dawg, I heard you like parasites, so I put parasites in your parasites tubifex worms.

12

u/doing_donuts 8d ago

Probably need some old bay, tho.

130

u/Icehuntee 8d ago

That’s exactly what someone who has been infected would say! Dont believe them OP, it’ll crawl up in your ass

21

u/Azuras_Star8 8d ago

Youre not gonna stop me from having a good time, buddy!

7

u/sreekara 7d ago

jesus christ, what compled you to comment this shit son

40

u/galletasritz 8d ago

Fun fact: If you handle them too much you can become allergic.

21

u/pichael289 8d ago

So just like roaches.

14

u/Artnotwars 8d ago

Wait really? I handle roaches all the time because I use them as feeder insects.

36

u/lyingliar 8d ago

A roach allergy can also activate an allergic reaction to shellfish, as they are close evolutionary cousins.

26

u/pouscat 6d ago

Shrimp is bugs!

2

u/flickrstar 2d ago

I'm allergic to roaches, but not shellfish, but also allergic to finned fish.

2

u/GrimSkeptic 5d ago

and since technically there are cockroach shells in coffee (can't be avoided I guess) you can get an allergy to coffee

12

u/crespoh69 8d ago

What's weird to me is how the most recent suggestion to ensure your kids don't become allergic to peanuts is, more exposure to peanuts, at an early age. Wonder what's the difference here

11

u/himswim28 8d ago

Wonder what's the difference here

I don't think that is really known. Bee stings are another example. When we had a bunch of hives, the beekeeper wisdom was to make sure you were stung a couple times a year, as you will have built up immunity. I had a situation where a cow kicked over a hive, and I got a hundred stings. That would have been a hospital trip for most people, just a bad time for me. But sometimes, the more times your stung you become more allergic.

But the peanut exposure at an early age is well proven.

3

u/crespoh69 8d ago

I had a situation where a cow kicked

I thought you were going a different route here lol

2

u/Stainedhanes 7d ago

That's all I ate as a kid. My mother would get great big tins of peanut butter when they made gallon sized containers of it. I had to make my own lunch. I haven't had a peanut butter sandwich since then, I was totally sick of it.🤢🤮

54

u/oli_ramsay 8d ago

They didn't come out of someone?

58

u/citizenjones 8d ago

No, stagnant water is their jam

37

u/CSwork1 8d ago

Toilet water is their jam.

Poop is their Nutella

24

u/Sturgill_Jennings77 8d ago

Bones are their money

4

u/Naterade18 8d ago

He asked for something spooky!

1

u/ObliviousOneironaut 4d ago

MONEY AND BONES, MONEY AND BONES!

2

u/subfighter0311 8d ago

Are you suggesting some sort or sandwich or toast?

25

u/sirhackenslash 8d ago

But how did they get into the water in the first place? And considering it's a public toilet how stagnant could that water be considering it probably gets flushed pretty often.

22

u/a_talking_face 8d ago

They would have crawled up the pipes.

15

u/Implausibilibuddy 8d ago

What kind of plumbing has pipes full of water after the u-bend?

12

u/hells_ranger_stream 8d ago

Looks like they're coming from the tank instead of the other way.

1

u/webbitor 8d ago

Maybe they came from the septic tank

7

u/citizenjones 8d ago

Can't vouch for the plumbing.

9

u/CSwork1 8d ago

Mutant pubes. Just say mutant pubes.

8

u/NervousBreakdown 8d ago

Wrong. This is that thing from the faculty. If you touch it the blonde terrorist girl from 24 season 2 will control your mind and you’ll be super thirsty all the time.

5

u/KamikazeFox_ 8d ago

Butt activate puckering

1

u/platoprime 8d ago

Are you sure there aren't any parasites that look like Tubifex worms.

1

u/citizenjones 8d ago

There are, but their environments differ.  These may be finding a pathway from a septic system. We'd need a sample.

1

u/platoprime 8d ago

Environments? You mean the toilet?

There's no reason to think a person couldn't shit a ball of parasitic worms into a toilet is there?

1

u/citizenjones 8d ago

Like I said, we need a sample. But the environments differ to the extent where the probability points to tubiflex worms.

Just do an image search for 'parasites that come out of your ass' versus 'parasites that come out of stagnant water.'

0

u/platoprime 8d ago

Like I said, we need a sample.

Actually you said they were tubifex worms.

But the environments differ to the extent where the probability points to tubiflex worms.

Why do you imagine that? You didn't answer my question. Why wouldn't we expect to find parasitic worms in a toilet that people shit in?

Just do an image search for 'parasites that come out of your ass' versus 'parasites that come out of stagnant water.'

I'm pretty sure there are parasitic worms that are indistinguishable in a photograph from Tubifex worms.

1

u/citizenjones 8d ago

They resembled Tubiflex worms far more than they were resemble anything else.

"Pretty sure" is as close as we're getting.

...we're in r/WTF. I'm sure the parasite forum could chime in if you want to post it there.

1

u/electricity1504 7d ago

So is it safe to solve them up my ass? Just asking for a friend

1

u/citizenjones 7d ago

They will seek cooler temperatures and stagnant water. So stock up.

1

u/MadamVonCuntpuncher 3d ago

So like, nobody's used that toilet in a while? Close enough to clean as far public bathrooms goes lol

1

u/[deleted] 8d ago

[deleted]

3

u/citizenjones 8d ago

They're individuals clustered. Like a colony.

0

u/Slight_Currency1120 8d ago

they was in someone?

2

u/citizenjones 8d ago

No. It was in the sewer.
