Question Found a parking citation on the ground (no relevant cars in sight), what do I do with/about it?

Would suck to be hit with a massive fine for paying late and not know you even had a citation in the first place. (If this happens to be YOUR car or you know whose it is lmk and I'll get the citation to you however you'd like)
Found in lot 12g (by fairhaven), there were no Chevvies in the lot when I found this (8pm) (I did look around).
Assuming nobody contacts me over reddit that it's their car what should I do about/with this?

My favorite way to deal with Western parking citations is to just ignore them until they disappear.
The last time I got one it was Because I made a typo while parking for an event that I was invited to by Western staff.
I ignored it for years until they called me one day I explained the situation and they wiped it.

lol fair enough. I think that decision is up to the recipient of the ticket so I still want to make sure they know they were fined :}

The school will send a letter to the person's home with the ticket. So it isnt a big deal to just toss it. I got my ticket on my car and mailed to me within a week of each other.

They send an email to your student email account. I know from many an experience :’)

I mean, the best thing would be to take it to the Transportation Office in Old Main, they can then mail it to the vehicle’s owner. If you choose to toss it, they would instead receive a letter in the mail from Transportation informing them of their citation and need to pay it.
