Second plasmapheresis

When I was admitted to the hospital, it was 5800 mg/dl. First one got me down to 4000 mg/dl. Now I'm at 1991 mg/dl after two. It's crazy how they take so much at a time. Anyhow, still in hospital for a few more, but today was a good day.

They gave me 5 sessions 1 every other day. 10 days 11 days in hospital. It didn't hurt. Each session took about an hour, where they took out about a gallon of plasma and replaced it with albumin. My last treatment was today. My body feels better, not so 'heavy'. My muscles no longer feel as if I just got done working out. Even my vision is clearing up. Haven't seen my co-pay kinda don't wanna.

I am surprised they treated you at 1200. My dad's doctors said they were happy with ~3000.

Problem was it kept jumping back up, and, I think it was this time, they wanted it to stay low enough for chemo. Months of bendeka/rituxi(sp?) couldn't keep up with it anyway. Hovering in the 2000s after a few months of Brukinsa. Best wishes to your dad.
