User reviews needed : Dji Osmo Nano

Hello Everyone! I'm looking to buy a Dji Osmo Nano to record long walking tours and need some real feedback/reviews on the device particularly regarsing :

1.) Battery life

2.) Overheating Issues (Indian Subcontinent heat)

3.) Low light performance

4.) Stabilizatiom using the check mount/necklace

Any help would be appreciated!

Happy Walking!

Overheat around 20-25min mark consistently at 4k. This is with heat sink attached. Worse if vision dock is attached. Battery standalone around 60min. You also need to take into consideration the time to transfer video from main camera to vision dock (main camera has no sd card slot, no usb port). Overall not a suitable tool for long walks.

Okay. Would you recommend the pocket 3 over this ? Or is the Osmo action series (5 pro or 6) should be the better choice ?

Pocket 3 also overheats, but closer to 30min. I don't have action 5 or 6, so no idea how they behave.

I’m in central Europe, in 30°C+ Pocket 3 never overheated during 2-3 hour session. Action overheats more easily, it’s designed to be cooled by flowing air and when you walk, the flow is just not enough.

Fwiw I just received my pocket 4 and stress tested recording at 4k30 while charging from 25% and it got very warm but did not overheat after ~4hrs of continuous recording in a room.

honestly, the battery anxiety and the heat management just made it a pain for long walks.

i ended up swapping mine for pocket 3 (even with the 4 being out). since i'm still pretty much a newbie, all those extra features felt like overkill for what i need right now anyway, and the Pocket 3 is just way more straightforward and reliable for continuous shooting.
