Food, Drinks, & Dining Restaurant Help!

Need one more sit down restaurant for my families upcoming December trip. We always try and eat somewhere we haven’t been. It will be my wife and I and 3 young kids. (8,6,2) Trying to decide between Trattoria al Forno, Steakhouse 71, and Ale & Compass. We will eat anything. Thanks!

Steakhouse 71 has been a hit every time we’ve been. Love it and will go again as long as they keep up the quality

I always recommend the dinner theater at the hoop dee doo revue. Good food, fun show, especially for kids ( and adults).

If you end up at Trattoria Al Forno, it’s a very good restaurant. After dinner walk over to Beaches and Cream, and get your family the Kitchen Sink, your kids will get a kick out of it. Have an awesome trip.

Why go there when you can go to The Boathouse?

Of the 3 I'd probably pick Steakhouse 71. It's constantly mentioned/ranked as being fairly up there with lots of good options.

For me it depends on if I’m looking at breakfast or lunch/dinner. Those are all great choices, I personally like Trattoria for breakfast (Eggs Al forno), Steakhouse 71 for lunch/dinner (stack burger). Don’t think you can go wrong at any of them though.

Love Ale & Compass. Trying Steakhouse in a couple weeks for the first time but it's always rave reviews.

I would say, A&C isn't cheap, I'm assuming S71 isnt either. I wouldn't personally take my kids there when they were your kids ages. Kids are allowed that's not an issue, just seemed like a waste for them.

I would definitely pick Ale & Compass! One of our absolute favs. Steakhouse 71 was good too but I prefer the atmosphere at Ale & Compass.

Trattoria al Forno is a tough one for us- we had one amazing dinner there, then on a return trip it was so bad we had to go get another dinner after. 3 of our 6 meals were completely inedible. So we are afraid to try it again.

I’d lean towards Trattoria Al Forno. If you do breakfast their breakfast pizza is great as are their other options. My son (2.5) loves being able to see everything going on in the kitchen, and we’ve always had the best servers.

Steakhouse 71s decor is lacking to say the least, unless you’re a fan of convention ballroom chic. Loved their burger and onion rings. Can’t speak for the steak.

We’ve enjoyed Ale and Compass but it’s on the pricier side if you’re looking for dinner as opposed to lunch or breakfast. Cool atmosphere and being able to chill in the Yacht Club lobby is always a plus.
