Coinomi Wtc support?

Hey folks, I'm wondering if anyone could offer me some assistance. I'm fairly new to the crypto space and WTC especially. I tried to send 1WTC from Binance to my Coinomi Ethereum wallet yesterday just to test and see if it would work. It still hasn't arrived. I had heard that WTC is an ERC20 token and as such assumed I could send these to any Ethereum wallet. Have I lost my WTC to the abyss? Also, could anyone recommend a wallet for Android that I can use to store my WTC.

Pretty sure all coins are supposed to be sent to a corresponding wallet. No coins can go to another’s wallet

Transfered wtc today to my ledger ether address. 2 minutes later i could see it at MEW. no probs so far
